Remarks

The college premises are strictly gaurded and no raging is allowed on the campus. There is a well maintained ground and since the college is situated in the centre of the city all the required facilities are easily available.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is vibrant and interactive according to the syllabus decided by Mahatma Gandhi University. There are six semesters for degree courses and four for the post graduation courses. They are rectified under the coucils of the university.

Internships Opportunities

The college doesn't provide any internships though it has a very good scope with many alumini students opting for research and teaching fields as their next move. This might provide the students with good resources and knowledgeble teaches.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placements are better in science maths and English departments of the college. The college is increasing placements every year and provides good councelling classes from time to time. the arts departments have poor placement facilities.

College Events

4

The college celebrates various events promoting the cultural and artistic background of the people here. Various events are held during special days coordinated by various departments and cells and the College Union.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible amd according to the university norms. The students will have to pay the caution deposit during admission, sem fees every semester, and exam fees before every university exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college comes under aided college so it provides with various scholarships awarded by the state government and the MG UNIVERSITY for students of various cultural and economic backgrounds. The students have to apply online with the required certificates.

Campus Life

4.5

The college supports extracurricular activities very well. It has got a well maintained ground, computer lab, gym, indoor badminton court, science labs, a university library, various units like NCC, NSS, women cell etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

The college provides very good hostel facilities for girls. It has 2 girls hostel near the college run by the college authorities themselves and one run by the municipality. Boys hostels are a bit far and they might find difficulty in finding seats there if not admitted early. The college has a very good infrastructure too. A very good canteen a gym and two well maitained libraries etc are there.

Alumni/Alumna

It doesn't have a good alumini network but still many students of the college are known to have achieved meritorious achievements in academics as well as in sports and other co-curriular activities. Many aluminis visit the college from time to time.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is followed according to the university syllabus. There are internal exams every semester with half the syllabus of the semester and external university exam by the end of the semester.

Admission

I applied through the single window admission process of MG University through online mode, through which I got allotted to NSS HINDU COLLEGE by my marks in merit in the second allotment of the degree admission process of the university.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is very good at their work and very experienced guided very well by the Principal of the college. The teaching and non teaching staffs work their best and are very reliable. The can provide with any help needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
