Review college

if someone who loves to live a disciplinary life then this college is must for them. Overall it's a good college. Just one reminder if you are going for this college then don't take attendance lightly they are very strict about it.

The college has b.com b.a and others courses also. Being a bcom student I can tell you only about the b.com curriculum. However the curriculum has been changed as now Calcutta University follows the semester system.

The college does not provide any kind of technical or professional degree hence they do not have any internship programs. On the other hand they have a tie up with NCC group(kind of social group) and they always take the students to social groups for social work and etc. This may not be of that much importance but later on you will realise being a part of social group really helps in life.

So their are a lot of events take place in the college like fresher's party once you enter the college followed by annual function childern's day independent day, sports and finally last but not the least farewell party when leave your college after spending 3 years.

When it comes to fee structure one can really relax as the fees is really feasible and low. A student from economically weak background can also join the college without worrying about the fees. And the mode of payment is also through check.

As the college is semi government it provides every kind of support implemented by government for the benefit of the students. During my scheme kanyashree was a scheme which was offered to a lot of students but for availing that scheme one must has to fulfill certain criteria.

The college have IT labs but they do not allow you to use the lab on your own wish. You have to take permission before using them. They also common room sports room where one can play carrom chess table tennis and badminton. Finally they do have a centeen where a lot of food items you can buy.

They do not have any hostel accommodation. Talking about the college infrastructure it is really good though the college is very old but the authorities always keep a check on the infrastructure of the college.

So this alumni commection is very much important in colleges where they provide placements but as there is no scene of this alumni connection is not that much required still to have a ideo about the college before joining is not even a bad idea.

Previously the college used to take two preliminary exams in a year and some teats in between and then after clearing these exams one was allowed to sit for the university exam but since past 2 years the curriculum has been changed as now all the colleges under CU has converted into semester system.

You just need to fill the application form online and have to keep a check on the list, once your name comes in the list you have to go to college with required documents fill a offline form again and can take admission.

Faculty is good accept few as there is always exception. however all the teachers are very friendly and one can always walk up to them for any kind of help. Staff members in office is also very good and friendly.
