Likes
- I firstly like the environment of my campus/institute it is situated between a decent forest which is well protected and it is ever green and everyday.We can get fresh air and we can be relief of stress and enjoy nature.
- Coming to infrastructure of the institute,it is descent and well designed in kerela's traditional way so it looks pretty well and the classroom are also quite good and provide better environment for studying
- Our institute is spread over nearly 3 kilometres south we have have bus facility which is free of cost to roam within the campus,for every 20-30 minutes there will be bus to transport.
Dislikes
- Our campus not finished the construction yet of new buildings so we can't get those facilities which I felt bad personally.
- We don't have a huge ground to play around any outdoor game we only have a football stadium and volleyball stadium not much of other things
- The most important thing is that the weather here keeps changing everyday and we can't predict what kind of weather would be tomorrow so it is uneasy to adjust
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is quite good and student friendly and we get lost of free time to explore different kinds of things and use the labs any time for better understanding of subject.As we get to exams there are 3 exams every semester they are Test-1,Test-2 and Finally Semester exam the faculty give the syllabus of that particular exam before 2 weeks so that we get sufficient time to prepare for exam
Internships Opportunities
We got offers from various companies from TCS and Infosys which gave a decent packages to our seniors and took many people into their company.We did many projects for understanding the topics better and make it clear.
Placement Experience
Every year a lot of companies come to our institute and offer decent packages as per the projects done by students and seeing their academics.The average package for CSE is like 14,00,000 per year and highest package was 46,00,000 which was given in the year 2022-2023.The percentage of placements is around 92% every year which is quite good
Fees and Financial Aid
I am in a branch of DATA SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING at IIT PALAKKAD the fee structure in my case is like 2,96,000 rupees per year and it remains mostly constant,I don't have any kind of scholarship thing offered by the institute or any government schemes but in case of SC and ST i don't know the exact amount but in their case the hostel fee is waived off and other things remain same.
Campus Life
As the strength is less and there won't be any kind of ragging in the campus the campus life is extremely good and there are many places near college to visit which increases the fun.As i already told the infrastructure of the institute is quite good and build out of best material so that it can easily bear any disasters.There are many clubs to join at IIT PALAKKAD apart from academics there are my clubs which focus on physical activities and keep us healthy.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel here is quite good and well designed so that we can play table tennis and other indoor games any time we want and it has hot water facility 24/7 and the taste of the mess food is good and healthy.
Admission
A part from this I was thinking to get into NIT SURATHKAL CSE,it is also one of the best college in NIT's which offers decent packages to students and many of they get employed but the strength there was very much higher than IIT PALAKKAD so I thought we would not be given any special attention among those and coming to off campus the IIT tag is very useful to get into any company
Faculty
First of all the faculty here are highly qualified and have very much of teaching experience.As we come to the teaching style,it is quite good as they start every course from basic so that everyone can understand the topic clearly.And coming to the students to faculty ratio it is quite good like 10:1 .The curriculum of course will be student friendly like every in between 9am-5pm there would be 4hours of classes and remaining four hours would be free.
Interview Experience
It is very good as compared to another collages and it gives very good facilities and all students enjoy a lot this is what I finally wanna say about my college in this following review.Iit palakkad is good.
Night Life
After the classes we first have our snacks and then go to the gym for workout then after fresh up we go for dinner and have a good time with friends after dinner we hangout near a sculpture called "mind's eye" and share how was the days and other stuff.
