What Students Say

Likes

The sports complex have gym as well which is good for sports quota students and different teachers and coaches are assigned for different games
For the specially abled students we do have different washroom and lifts are also provided
Other than the college canteen we do have small shops life amul Nescafe which have great food

Dislikes

Teaching faculty can be improved to solve students doubt
Canteen is not properly hygienic which can be seen
The class size is too much according to the class rooms

Course Curriculum Overview

Overall the curriculum is good we don't have much pressure during exams the exams are scheduled for 3 hrs duration in which can be a little complex for first year students as they do not have much practice to write the exams

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunities that comes to students if they are willing to do so it also provide the students with fee concessions, free laptop and many other things which are really helpful for students

Placement Experience

Ci don't have much idea about the campus placement but if the college didn't provide one it doesn't seems to be a issue as I'll be preparing for government exams and Delhi police exams many of the famous personalities have been passed out of the college as well..

Fees and Financial Aid

In total we have to pay 31700 which includes a yearly fee and not based on per sem which is a great deal to grab at other than this we do have to pay examination fee depending upon the course we have while sc and st category students have fee reimbursement benefits and we do have scholarship schemes for students

Campus Life

The campus life is good .. the college provides fests melas, exhibitions and many more extra curricular activities the college even have different society which also perform at University level numerous society's are there in college and each oneis good

Admission

The selection was based on cuet i.e. common university entrance text and the marks are the deciding factors for the admission and course though I belong to a sports quota category so if you didn't score well you can even go for sports quota category

Faculty

The college faculty is divided into different departments which is really good and free from hustle bustle each department have good teaching staffs though tere are exceptions.. The course which I'm pursuing is political science whose teaching Faculty is good where as my ge which was history i didn't like much

Night Life

The night life of the college is good though it can be a little unsafe for girls but overall there is lot of attraction among the students as there are cafes famous markets pg hostel which students enjoy alot

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

Students become Eligible for campus placements after in the 3rd year. The placements have been improved a lot in the past years. Companies like Pwc, kpmg, McKinsey, bain and Co come for campus placements. The highest package was 23 lakhs per annum last year.

Insights into DRC

After appearing for CUET UG, we make preferences of the desired college and on the basis on the CUET score, colleges are alloted. So, Daulat Ram College was my 7th preference and I was alloted this as per my category and cut off I cleaned. Although it was 7th preferred college, I have no regret of getting into it. Good internship opportunities

The admission process till last year in University of Delhi was on the basis of 12th std marks, but from this new session(2022-2023) there is an entrance test CUET. The eligibility for the same was the student must've cleared 12th board exams and the application form was available on NTA official site. People with reservations(SC, ST, OBC etc..) do get a lot of benefits like for them the marks are less for getting a good college as compared to non- reservation seats.
