Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is focussed equally on thoeretical and practical component. The NEP has made the curriculum even more flexible and beneficial for students making them ready to deal with the real life problems. The timetable is very hectic for my course it should be changed and made more flexible. The end sem exams are moderately difficult.

Internships Opportunities

5

MotherDairy ,Dabur, Paytm, Deloitte etc are the companies that offer placement. The average stipend is around 10k.The internship opportunities that are provided by the college help in grabbing placements in form of PPO's.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for placement from 5th and 6th semester.Companies that visit are Dabur,Paytm ,MotherDairy etc.The highest package was of 36Lpa last year. Plan on doing MBA after my BCom completition.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees i paid for one year is Rs.16755. Apart from this i have to pay only the examination fees which was around Rs1200 in first semester. The fees is mostly same for all the categories except for PWD students.Yes scholarship is provided to the needy and merit students

Campus Life

4

RENAISSANCE is the annual cultural fest of our college. It is held in the month of April. It is one the best DU fests.Library is quite big and has all facilities with huge reading area. The sports facilities are average. Because of the hectic schedule i rarely get any time to explore sports.

Admission

The entrance exam for my course is CUET.I scored 698/800 in the entrance exam.I applied to SRCC as well but my marks fell short of the cutoff.Though KMC is not a bad college infact it is very reputed but my first choice was SRCC.

Faculty

4

There are around 20 teachers in our commerce department. They are very cooperative and their teaching style is very good and understandable. The faculty which I like most is Dr. Jyoti Kasana and Ms. Ritu Rathee as they took doubt personally and their teaching style is also so good. The faculty which I dislike the most is Dr. Kavita Kamboj as her teaching style is very boring and she is not as much cooperative as compared to other teachers. I have given end semester exams till now. Difficulty of these exams were moderate. Results will be announced 2 or 3 months later, so i can not comment on how much teachers have been failed or passed.

Night Life

5

The gym is indoor as well as outdoor. Unfortunately there is no cafe in college apart from an average canteen. The campus timing is 8:30am to 5pm.I am unaware about exact hostel timings but it should be around 8pm for hostlers. Starbucks and McDonalds is 5 min walk away from college where i hangout with my friends the most. The campus is safe even at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the BCom Hons course curriculum at SBSC around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. One of the main reasons I chose this course was because it offers a good mix of commerce subjects like Financial Accounting, Business Law, and Corporate Law, along with exposure to Economics and Management, which seemed useful whether I go for MBA or competitive exams later. The first-year subjects felt more like a base, but from second semester onward it started to get a bit more practical. Each subject has 25 marks for internals and 75 for the main exam. Most exams are 3 hours long and subjective, and I’d say the difficulty level is moderate. If you’ve been regular with notes and study the past papers, it’s not hard to pass, but getting 8+ CGPA requires consistent effort. Overall, the curriculum gives a decent foundation but it could be way better if more practical components and industry exposure were added.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our college is good and helpful for our future and also add Value in our CV but some subject like art of being happy and EVS are so much better because there is no any reason that they help us in future and also our exam timing is good it done in every 6 month and between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
