Remarks

My overall experience regarding the college was quite awesome. There some cons which can be improved but the overall remarks are quite good. It was worth Graduating from a college like L.S. Raheja and I would Highly recommend any to opt the course of commerce.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course I did was B.com, the experience was good. The library provided the books of the course for a rental charge of Rs. 300 which is quite cheap. The faculty was good which made the students learn easily.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide any kind of internship. It only provides Job placements for the students. But it provides placement for internship if your course is of selected field i.e Banking and Finance, etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

Every Year, Reputed M.N.Cs such as Deloitte, TCS, RIL,etc. come for the placement of the students. They conduct 3 - 4 rounds of interview, 2 of them is conducted at the college campus and further ones are taken in their respective offices. You also get emails regarding vacancies and placements from the college if registered for placement.

College Events

5

The college celebrates many sorts of events and functions. Starting from the Freshers Party, Cultural Day, Annual Day, Independence and Republic Day, Sports Day, Inter-College Tournaments, NCC Parades and Farewell Parties. Many celebrities have even visited the college for movie promotions during my academic year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are very feasible. I did my B.com in a total of approx Rs. 16000 for Three years. It is Rs. 5500 for FY B.com, 5100 for SY B.com and approx 5400 forTY B.com. So the fees is quite low plus you can even get a scholarship if you can't afford it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facility is available for the students who has income Below Poverty Line. Their Fees gets refunded back. They just need to fill the form available in the college, submit proof of Income and give declaration signed by their parents.

Campus Life

4.5

There are quite good amount of extra curricular activities happening in the college. Sports Day is celebrated, Cultural day, NCC Parades, Annual days, Field trips, Industrial Visits, etc. These activities makes the students more fond of the college.

Hostel Facilities

4

The is no hostel provided by the college. You have to find a general hostel for your stay or any Paying Guests. Hostels are quite easy to find in the city as there are plenty of Hostels available to stay on Exam Basis.

Alumni/Alumna

The college Alumni is conducted in every 10 years by the college staff committee. They honor each and every students and give medals to the scored well marks during the academic year. They contact the students through the email ID provided to the college.

Exam Structure

The Exams are conducted by the Maharashtra Board i.e 2 Semesters every year hence, the system is same as every college in Mumbai as it is a centralized system. Earlier the college conducted the exams but now it is conducted by MSBSHSE.

Admission

You have to apply for an application form which is available online. Then you have to select the specific course which you want to opt, and fill the personal and academical details. Once submitted, you have to pay nominal fee of Rs.50 - Rs.100 of form filing fees. Then you have to wait for the merit list and you'll get the admission if your name appears in the list. Later you have to pay the fees in Demand Draft form.

Faculty

4.5

The Faculty of the college is quite experienced and are student friendly. They help the students after the lectures regarding any doubts remained unsolved during the lectures. The teachers are also quite motivated so it helped us to stay motivated are curious regarding our studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
