What Students Say
Likes
- Churchgate is a financial hub and our college is located right there.
- Even though just 1 year and I already have made so many memories that I just feel like what next has left.
- I have met friends for life who are also now partners in crime.
Dislikes
- Campus is small and plus no hostel too and that's not fair.
Course Curriculum Overview
B.Com is not something for which even a second invitation is required and that too if you are eligible to get admissions in HR College of Commerce and Economics. 5 main subjects, 2 practical subjects and 1 special elective makes our course for all the 6 semesters that we will be studying here. So, all in all its the most competent course of Mumbai University.
Internships Opportunities
The People's Group, Reliance Industries and Jio are among the top brands that provides internships. Agnikul also joined hands as they are one the verge of becoming first space startup from India which I hope makes it big. I worked with them and hopefully get more chances to work with them.
Placement Experience
Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
HR College of Commerce and Economics is a top college of South Bombay and yet the fees is 12000 around. For girls it's even less and for SC/ST students the fees is waived like the tuition fees and therefore all they pay is 2000 around. I don't think government can do more in this regard as in South Bombay studying at this cost is unreal.
Campus Life
HR College is big than many colleges of Mumbai as we have racing tracks and sports ground. Now events if I talk about they are so many that discussing all of them would be impossible. Since entrepreneurship is next big thing a event called Rise was organised to ensure student learn the art of making something of their own and if they already have how to get funds. Our annual intra fest is Talent Parade where we have cultural and sports activities both.
Admission
Jai Hind is where I was eligible and suburbs colleges were also something that I would have got. However studying in churchgate is always a novelty and studying in HR is even bigger novelty. All thanks to my stars that I am from Mumbai as otherwise for me to get admission here would have needed nearly 95% in HSC.
Faculty
Faculties have ensure that college atmosphere is never toxic here. So for that I want to thank all my faculties as this new term toxicity has taken over but at HR College of Commerce and Economics. Faculties here are true leaders who leads from the front as they are clear that Mumbai University toppers should be from our college.
Night Life
When you are in Churchgate the first thing that comes to your mind is Marine Driver. So, our peace is there as in evening we go out and hangout there. From Parsi Dairy Basundi to Haji Ali's Milkshakes, those are the places we go often.
