Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose B.com because I had chosen CA as my proffessional course. And H.R. college is very very well versed with those who are appearing for the competitive and proffessional exams. They were very easy going with such students The course curriculum must be tweked and upgraded a little bit, even though the teaching methods were modern , the books were still old and traditional.

Internships Opportunities

2

The internship opportunites were from various companies like EY, KPMG and other finance companies and agencies . The stipend somewhat ranged around 10000- 20000 So the internship eligibility was attendance at first and then you were given certain assignments like making a project on marketing strategies of known famous food chains etc. And then if shortlisted you had 2 other rounds before you actually land an internship. Some companies also focused on some special kind of tests

Placement Experience

3

In the second year of the course, you are eligible for internship opportunities and In the third year you cn sit for college placements. I did not sit for placements , because I already had an offer off the college. But my friends did get paced with Delloite and EY 85% students get placed as per my knowledge

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees that I paid was around 8000 in the first year, 10000 in the second and 12000 in the third year. this has been constant since years. And also as a female student , we get fees concession

Campus Life

3

The fests are to die for. H.R. college conducts the best fests in Mumbai. Intra and inter both of them are huge The accessibility to the library is very very good. No such complication. Sports and extracurricular activities are too good to be true.

Admission

I had applied for N.M college , K.C college and Jai hind college. I got in in all three of them . I chose H.R. college because of its leniency with CA aspirants. And also when I connected with the alumi of the college , they had me sold with their fattering about the college and the faculties. The admission process is very very simple, apply along with your documents and wait for the merit list announcements, no such complications

Faculty

4

Faculties were easily approachable. very friendly with the students, And especially the principal was more like a friend who understand you in every way. No restrictions as such. Pooja mam was very cooperative and heard every student's advice and suggestions Jasprit mam had a very unique teaching style. Navin sir was too humourous on hard days The exams had a good pattern, enough to test your knowledge and not how much you have studied from the book. The assignments were practical, The tests were crisp.

Night Life

2

This is very my college stands last in the list. No cafeterias inside, no hostels so no night life obviously. But talking about the famous hangout places that has to be Raju Sandwich in front of the college and marine drive ofcourse

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
