About my college

I chose IT because I had interest in software engineering, the professors has have very good qualification as most of them have PhD degree from jadavpur university. Most of them have good teaching experience and teach quite interestingly. The WBJEE examination are conducted in April month which is quite good for the students as it gives sufficient time to prepare for the examination. Also the difficulty of examination are moderate. If you prepare well for this examination then you can easily get a good college under WBJEE.

No I have not opted for any internships until now as I am in the first semester only, however I have heard from many seniors that they got good opportunities from college and many of my seniors are doing internships in the field of web development.

As I am in the first year so I don't have enough accurate knowledge about placements however as much as i have heard the placement are good/average and many companies visit over here. In case somehow if you unable to get placed through college then it is located in the prime location of Kolkata where so many IT companies are located where you can apply and secures a good job. As I have heard from the seniors every year around 90 percent students get placed.

I had paid 85000 during the time of admission which I have to pay approximately 75000 as tuition fees for the next 7 semester and thus paying 605000 as the tuition fees for the whole course , we also have to pay 2200 as development fees once in a course time . We have to pay 1200 as semester examination fees . The fees for all the categories General, st, sc, OBC, are same but is only different for the TFW students and they have to pay a total of 218000 for the whole b.tech course.

My college has very good and capable clubs which provides many opportunities for us, they conducts non stop events one after another which kept us engaged and always provides something new to learn. The campus of college is not very big enough to conduct the major sports events. But it is big enough to conduct extracurricular activities which majorly happens in the month of November.

I applied for several others colleges under my WBJEE rank but I opt for this college due to its location as it is located in the prime location of Kolkata. I also applied for some of the government college here but couldn't get it as I was from other states. I got in to this college through WBJEE examination. Anyone who passed the 12th examination from any board may appear for this examination. The cutoff are not very high, if you prepare well then you can easily get in to the good college under WBJEE.

I gave the WBJEE examination to get in to this college and scored a rank of 8600 in that examination as I was an other state student so I couldn't get any government college so I chose techno main as it was in the prime location of Kolkata as i thought this would help me build connection with working individuals and the opportunities would be more comparatively. The faculties of college are very supportive which makes very easy for the students to interact with and gets your queries solved. But sometimes faculty are boring and egoistic which creates difficulties for the students. But overall experience with faculties are good.

There is no hostel facility available in the college thus most of the students live in nearby PG's and Flats, the quality of hostels are average. The college is located in prime location of Kolkata so it's very safe to hangout with friends at late night. Also the biddhanagar police station is near to our college, so there is no any issue to hangouts at night
