Experience of a Student studying in NIT Calicut

For the first and second year students there is choice of choosing there courses and from 3rd year we can choose our courses. Everything will explain regarding the course by assigned respective faculty advisor.

The summer internship programme will be generally offered for a period up to 60 days during the summer vacation during the period in May-July 2024, in line with the academic calendar of NITC. Limited candidates may be permitted to do projects using the specific laboratory facilities in certain department.

The placement are good compared to other collages ,there lots of companies visited to the college and the highest package placed is 51 LPA by a CSE student almost 70 percent of the students are placed in 2024

Initially during joining of the collage we have to pay 75000 to the collage and 60000 to the hostel and if there is SC or ST category they have to 45000 to the collage and 60000 to hostel where everyone get 15000 after graduation. And for OBC and EWS if they have below 1 lakh income they have to pay only hostel fees For SC and ST irrespective of income they have to pay only hostel fees.

There will be 2 fest in a year ,one is tathva a technical fest and Ragam a cultural fest these fest are conducted 3 days . There are lots of books available in Library and it is free to access. There will be lots preference given to sports

In room each student is provided with a table, chair and cupboard and there will 3 sharing beds in a room . When it comes to mess everyday non veg and veg is available we can choose accordingly. And taste is not upto the mark but ok we can handle it

I choose this college because of its placement percentage ,packages offered and it's beautiful campus, initially I tried for nit warangal but luckily I didn't got seat there.the eligibility exam is JEE mains where for a OBC student he as to get around 5k - 8k rank.

Semister exam is divided into 3 parts,1.mid semester which is of 30 marks and internals like quiz, tutorial test..etc it is graded with 20 marks and finally end semester which is of 50 marks overall most of the subjects relatively graded. It is not that much of difficult ok we can manage study and other activities without any tension.

There are 3 canteens in the campus and a gym and also lots of restaurants and shopping malls super markets are available around the college . For 1st year students hostel entry restricted to 10pm and for other students there is no restriction.
