Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum at RIT Kottayam is quite comprehensive and aligns well with industry trends. Core courses like Data Structures, Algorithms, and Operating Systems lay a strong foundation, while electives such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity keep the program relevant to the latest technological advancements. The inclusion of mini and major projects helps in building practical skills. I chose this course because of its balance between theory and practical exposure, as well as the institution's reputation for quality education and affordable fees.

Internships Opportunities

3

At RIT Kottayam, there are good internship opportunities with companies like TCS, Infosys, and UST Global. I had an internship at UST Global as a Data Science Intern, where I worked on building machine learning models and analyzing data. The stipend ranged from ?5,000 to ?10,000 per month, depending on the company. One of the projects I worked on involved predicting customer behavior using machine learning, and the outcome was a model with an accuracy of 85%. These internships help me gain real-world experience and build skills for my future career.

Placement Experience

3

At RIT Kottayam, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The college sees visits from top companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant, offering roles in IT and software development. The highest package is around ?12–15 LPA, with an average package of ?4–6 LPA. Approximately 70–80% of Computer Science students are placed. After graduation, I plan to work in a reputed IT company, focusing on AI or Machine Learning, and may pursue higher studies or certifications like AWS or Data Science to further enhance my career.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Admission Fee (One-time): ?500 2. Caution Deposit : ?2,000 3. Annual Hostel Fee: ?12,000–?15,000 4. Mess Fee: ?3,000–?4,000 per month 5. Electricity and Water Charges: Included or charged based on usage (around ?2,000–?3,000 per semester). 6. E-grantz scholarship provide about 20000 per year

Campus Life

2

There are lots of technical festival are take place in RIT. Like rithu and many hackathon are conducted seasonally. The library provide references book and other material. The facilities and technological provision are not good at all. In our class there no proper projector. The sports in the college was very active and interesting. They give importance to every sports and make it interesting. Also there are many cultures program like keli, a art fest. These kind of fest make the students more confident also make them unique.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel at RIT Kottayam is decent and affordable. I share a room with a couple of roommates, and it comes with basic furniture like beds, tables, and cupboards. The food quality is okay, with a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, though the menu could use more variety. The hostel fees are around ?12,000–?15,000 per year, and the mess fee is about ?3,000–?4,000 per month, which is quite reasonable for the facilities provided. The registration process was simple, and rooms are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Admission

I apply for this collage because I found some good reviews about this collage also have good ranking. There are other colleges better than this i also applied for this i didn't get for my Mark. Also RIT is a government college so it has some other benifits. The admission process was pretty good. The senior and faculty are very kind during admission. They helped very well. I get admission through keam entrance examination I got pretty good rank so I get the college in the second allotment.

Faculty

3

The faculty in RIT was quite good and very experienced. They are very experienced and talented. There are sufficient facilities to maintain our campus study . They behave very well . I like devan sir,he is my chemistry faculty. He was very kind and clam. There are many good faculty they helped the students very well. Actually I don't like my advicer because he quit annoying, he always has mood swings. The students can't maintain him. I completed my 1st semester it was pretty good and the results didn't published yet. I think many of them will get good scores.

Night Life

3

College gym was adjustable. Not bad at all but it didn't have many equipment. The cafeterias was not bad. They provide food at cheap price and can affordable by the students. The campus was widely spreaded so there are many spots to spend time with our friends. The closing time of cafeterias and library about 4 in the evening. My hotel was quite good .They provide pretty good food and facilities. The campus timing from 9-4 and the hostel turfew was about 9:30 pm. Inside the campus there is a water tank at the top of the campus it is a good view point . I think the locality are pretty good . I actually don't know I Just enter the campus around 3 months. I think it's pretty good.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.
