Course Curriculum Overview

5

Ba program at kamala nehru college generally is a good option with a strong faculty ,relevant curriculum and a positive learning environment, although some concerns are infrastructure limitations like poor network connectivity and a smaller campus compared to the other du colleges overall the quality of education is praised and the value for money aspect the course. The ba program course is praised for offering a course structure that is updated and relevant to current trends, equipping students with applicable skills. Exams are moderate to crack. You can just crack by studying pyqs and taking notes seriously in the classroom.

Internships Opportunities

4

There is a group named as placement cell which provides information about job and internship opportunities. There are many internship opportunities remote or hybrid if you possess a good skillset. Knc is absoultely a prestigious college.

Placement Experience

4

From 4th semester students become eligible for placements. Genuinely speaking there is no such placement opportunities for my course but matters what skill set you bring to the table. 56 percent of students got placements from our college last year. The average package from our college is 4.8 LPA Companies such as ernst and young, zomato, Deloitte, kpmg etc visit the campus. My plan is to prepare for upsc after this degree!

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course which is ba program(history +political science) is 14150 per year. 14150 is the total fees constituting everything tuition fee admission fee and all. Ba program other combinations fees also vary from 14000 to 15000. Scholarship is not particularly provided by the college but again It is provided by the delhi university t&c applied.

Campus Life

4

Basically every month there are 3 to 4 events in the campus. And Fests such as diwali mela winter carnival and Ullas KNC are celebrated with so much excitement. Being all girls college the campus is so vibrant and girly atmosphere . The library is one of the best libraries in south campus colleges. Library has 3 floors and huge collection of books. Gym, Library, labs, Eveything is so well equipped.

Admission

I got kamala nehru college through thr cuet exam. I am a commerce stream student so ofcourse my dream college was srcc. On my cuet english exam there were some problems that we got the paper late and invigilators were coming in between again and again so didnt get enough time and left the questiond. But couldn't make it to srcc so Later i decided to crack upsc as my parents wished to and Ba program in political science is the best course fot upsc. So that's why i chose kamala nehru for ba program. But i think all colleges are same cause the central university is same for all and once you join the college you would love it.

Faculty

4

The teachers at our college are very dedicated towards teaching and they all teach properly and in a very deep manner. They are way too supportive to the students. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that the students get in depth knowledge of the subject. Our public administration teacher is not that good in teaching otherwise all the teachers are just amazing. There are 2 semester end exams only. They are too easy to crack. I cracked them by just studying a night before.

Night Life

4

There is no hostel facility in the college. And the pgs nearby are so costly. Campus timings are 9 to 5 30 in the evening. Famous hangout places are diggin cafe nearby and hauz khas market is one of the best place a must visit.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
