Course Curriculum Overview

4

English honours is really interesting for anyone who loves reading and analysing novels. It is a mix of classic and modern literature. I chose this course because I love reading and this course helps me understand things more deeply. The course could be improved by including more real world scenarios and examples. Teachers use practical and theoretical methods. The exams are very easy and one can score well

Internships Opportunities

4

The companies like pwc, zomato, nation with nano, Bain etc come to campus for internships in various fields like sales, marketing, consulting, public relations etc which a minimum stipend of 5000 per month. They provide various tasks and projects to enrich their learning experience. Companies come throughout the year to hire interns.

Placement Experience

4

The students become eligible to sit in placements from 5th semester. College has a great placement program over 200 companies come to campus. The average package is from 5 lakh and the highest package is around 18 lakh. Popular companies like ey, Bain. De shaw, zomato, pwc etc visit the campus. They normally hire minimum 5 students from different courses. Almost 60% students get placement. My aim is to also get a good campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course is 17990 out of which around 10k is tuition fees. 5k is the admission fees and the rest 2990 is for miscellaneous expenses. Fees of my other batchmates also varies from 17k to 24k. One can also avail a Meri scholarship which is based on your % in 12th board examination and the ability to maintain an excellent gpa in college.

Campus Life

4

The overall campus experience is very fun. College has their annual event called nexus where popular artists like Mohit Chauhan have performed. It's a 3 day event where people from different colleges come and participate. The college library has almost every course related and additional material books in them. The labs are also very well maintained with proper equipment. College also has several sports clubs like football, basketball, badminton and NCC. There are several other clubs as well like dance, music, writing, debate, film making, drama etc which open students to the competitive world and inculcates skills

Admission

I chose this college because it has a really good reputation and it is one of the best colleges in India. I applied to op Jindal as well however I chose this college for it's reputation and curriculum. I got accepted in it as well but venky is more economical and has better prestige. To get into venky you've to give cuet and then based on your list draft your college and course preference list and upon that you're allocated a college. The cuts offs for venky is pretty high normally a 760+ score is important.

Faculty

3

The student to faculty ratio is 10:1 which works out pretty well. Teachers are very friendly and polite. English and economics department has the best faculty. Teachers are very understanding and accommodating. Sciene department has the worst faculty, teachers burden children a lot and are often rude. Each semester just has an end semester exam. There are no other exams held. The exam is very easy and only a few normally fail these exams.

Night Life

4

The college has an entire market 200 steps away from it. It has many cafés which have great food. College stays open till 5 and till 7 during examination days and everyone hangs out at the market only post college hours. The hostel timings are 9pm at max and after that entry is not allowed. The college is in a gated community and has guards all around so its very safe and trusting

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] {Hons.} (Digital Marketing)

Doesn’t hold the same prestige and reputation as Delhi University

The curriculum is very broad and relevant, it covers both theory and practical aspects of the subject. It is very nice to prepare for further higher studies, though more real-world cast studies and interactive teaching.

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
