Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is very well made with good consideration of the fact that we need to be acquainted with the various types of skills it includes different aspects of learning. Pretty dynamic structure of course. Although can be a little tiring sometimes as we have to attend different classes of various distinguishable subjects like SEC, VAC

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Sri Venkateswara College has great internships opportunities. Every year the college organises an internship fair where many students get good internships opportunities from famous companies. Stipend for first and second year students is usually low as opposed to third year students. Students from all courses are eligible to apply for Internships in Internship fair of the college.

Placement Experience

4

Many students get decent placement if they were from courses like Economics honours or bcom honours and BA program with an Economics degree, Maths, Statistics etc. overall the placement scenario in Sri Venkateswara College is of decent quality as compared to other DU colleges. Companies like Deloitte, Bain and Company etc. offer jobs and internships to students in Sri Venkateswara College University of Delhi. Not many students apply for placements so the percentage of students getting accepted for placements is great.

Fees and Financial Aid

Different Free ships and scholarships are provided by the college as well as the university you can apply for them according to the criteria. College also accepts other scholarship for example by the government or some private entity

Campus Life

4

Infrastructure of Sri Venkateswara College is very good as compared to other South campus colleges it is one of the best but a bit behind colleges like srcc and Hindu but overall it's good. Our college has lot's of societies so students get great exposure and hands on experience in leadership roles. In terms of sports, Sri Venkateswara College is considered as one of the top-notch in Delhi University. Many famous sports players in various fields are alumini of SVC.

Admission

Application process was not very complicated but in fact it was pretty decent. Students under NEP were admitted on the basis of CUET Scores. Cut off for this course and college was around 710/800 in cuet which is common university entrance test. Eligibility for this course in cuet 2023 was marks of 3 appearing subjects in class 12th, marks of maths is compulsory.

Faculty

4

Faculty is pretty decent. Some teachers are really good and helpful, they use different methods to acquip the students with the knowledge of the course overall experience is pretty decent. Some Teachers are pretty interactive. Especially the teachers in my department are very supportive.

Interview Experience

5

There was no interview or GD for admission, only through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) which is a written exam. After the results for CUET were released, students are asked to fill a preference list for their order or college preference in DU or any other university of their choice.

Night Life

4

Canteen area, Library, Maggi point which has a variety of food and snacks options is a favourite hang out spot for students of Sri Venkateswara College. Other than these, spots in the college like The rock garden, botanical garden, Foyer, Auditorium as also some of the famous leisure spots among the students. Hostel facility in Sri Venkateswara College is not that great as there are very limited seats in both boys' and girls' hostel, usually one seat per course, however students with pwd category get priority in hostel acceptance.

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Campus placements are available for all semesters but the offers are more the students in third year. The offers came form many reputed companies like Deloitte, EY, NSDC and more. The highest packages offered were 24 LPA. Almost 75 to 80 percent students got the campus placement. I did not sit for the placement as I was beginning my preparation for UPSC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For psychology everything is good, the course the topics everything is very real world applications based. However there is less scope for it in india but in abroad one can do well. I really like learning about mental disorders, they open a new world to me and a better understanding of the people with disabilities. For Areas of improvement all i can suggest is giving lesser readings, since there is a lot of readings to cover it becomes a headache for some students. Also there shoulf be more practical based subjects rather thsn just theory ones.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very active. They hold internships round the year and provide reliable placement at the end of last year. Placement mainly depends upon per student skill rather than the course variability and considering most of the humanities courses are less employable if taken only on the basis of course. However skills are the main deciding factor
