Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's hard as compared to other courses as it involves a lot of rigourous maths but anyhow the returns in future are great as you can earn good money after your pg and even ug if you have enough skills required and are well versed with your curriculum. It's mathematical and little bit theory so it might get too tough sometimes and also too boring sometimes so strike a match by doing it together simultaneously. Once concepts are clear they help in clearing any eco based paper.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are several internship offered like cognizant offered sales and marketing internship upto 15000 stipend. Urban company offered hr internship ,stipend not disclosed. Kpmg offered economics consulting internship with 8000 stipend.

Placement Experience

3

From semester 5 you are eligible for placements before that internships are available there are several companies like kpmg urban company wtw Accenture with average package of 5 lpa and highest of 8 lpa for consulting roles and around 45/60 students are placed . You can also choose to pursue master after ug or directly go into corporate placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for economics honours in the college first year was 32000 after that in second year was 28000 and in third year 30000 , it varies according to courses it's less for bcom honours around 26000 and more for physics honors due to practical and equipment usage around 34000. Scholarships are there to provide the needy with discounts around 30-40%.

Campus Life

4

There is miss DRC held in October along with jalsa which is the diwali and garba night and also manjari which is the annual fest of college . All and each kind of book is available in library you just name it and it's there. Within classroom proper smart boards are there. Sports complex offer vast opportunities ranging from basketball badminton to kho kho to chess etc. Many student clubs like Rotaract , udyam (start up cell) , Éclat (economics association) lead to learning of communication and responsibilities.

Admission

I applied to surajmal college in ipu with bba course I got accepted into it but didn't go as fees was very high and they have strict rules of parent teacher meeting and uniform so not much college vibes , as compared to daulatram which is at prime of North campus and got the course I wanted eco honours the process included entrance exam ceut ug which includes maths in particular for eco honours cutoff is usually around 720-740/800 for daulatram.

Faculty

4

So for 60 students there are usually 6 teachers per subject and they are quite approachable and easy to talk to to , they even take extra class of you don't understand anything particularly akanksha ma'am she is the sweetest of all she will also take retest in case you don't score good , There are 2 internal assessment of 12 marks each and it's medium level and you'll be able to score good if you study priorly as the course itself is very hard

Night Life

3

There is gym available in college and also close by in kamla nagar and vijay nagar, famous hangout places include sudama ki chai , bistro , tom uncle ki maagi , patelchest etc. locality is safe till 6:30 pm after which prefer to stay inside due to pick pockets

Course Curriculum Overview:

The paper has a direct influence on my future competitive examination and job.. The teaching method and course curriculum should be improved. There are unnecessary materials that has to be bought by the students which are not even helpful The timetable is not so friendly while you have a class at 8:30 then spend the whole day and take the second class at 3:30..

Mata sundri college for women offers limited campus placement, mostly after 5th semester. Few companies like Wipro and Deloittevisit with offersaround ?3-6LPA. About 20-25% of the students get placed. I plan to pursue post graduation and gain work experience later.

My Economics syllabus and the professor is amazing. They explain everything in detail and they are really very open to criticism as well The exam level is actually medium. Since, our professors prepare us in attempting them easily. Practice sessions are worth devoting time in.

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for my course, economics hons. , I would say is very relevant to our day to day life. The curriculum set by the university doesn't focus only on indian economics but economies through out the world. The suggested books are also the top books used in many international top universities. The curriculum provides us with a lot of real world applications through various case studies. For exams the delhi university guidlines are followed and I would say now the exams are based on more of practical usage and how materials taught in class are applied in real life.

Like any other course this course too has its pros and cons. It is very different from the fictional or non-fictional books you read. One must have an interest for English language as it has no grammar. It's just the language portion that will be taught.
