There are various events which takes place in the campus throughout the year, the session generally starts with DU nd college elections campaigns which takes place in September, the vibe of the college is totally different during this period. College NSS team is functional through out the year doing some or the other works. Various seminars takes place. The department and the college fests is something you wouldn't wish to miss.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Delhi University fee structure is generally feasible not really expensive at my time of admission i paid around 15000 for a whole year which includes two semesters also this is the same pattern in all DU colleges fee structure being different in some according to the facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers scholarships for economically weaker section. Which can easily be available by providing the family earner's income certificate. Many students have taken this benefit to complete the Graduation. Sports quota is also considered to get admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
