Likes
- The best side of the college is that its campus is big and surrounded by nature and trees. Students can relax themselves by sitting down below trees and talk with friends .
- Another best thing about college is its fest and cultural programs. It's ic famous for its various functions, orchestra and other stages performances . Anyone can perform anything. Everyone enjoy this things which made the college environment good.
- Faculties of College is good . As in govt colleges we know that classes are not taken so attentively. But in this college faculties and classes are regular always.
Dislikes
- Things I dislikes about my colleges is that office staffs behaviour and management. If for some reason some documents or other things need to verify or submit in office it's very headache. Because management is very bad.
- Another things I dislikes is noise. As one road is in the middle of the college so while attending classes noises of traffic is very much irritating for students and disturbing to concentrate in class .
- Few departments classes are very small . So it would be better if the classes are maximised in size .
Course Curriculum Overview
Their are different courses available in our college. Along with degree courses their are many diploma courses as well . For bsc , bcom, and ba this college is best and their are also many diploma courses as well . Buf college is gold all necessary courses are available in the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
College admission Fees varies its start form 6000 to 30000 for a year. And it also depends on various departments. Because few departments are private like Mass Communication department. It's fees is 14000 yearly. So it's department wise . I belong to economics department and it's fees 7000 yearly. Someone can benefit reservations, if someone having st/sc certificate than he or she can get free admission by showing income certificate. But if anyone apply for free admission he or she can't apply for scholarship again. Their are so many scholarships students can apply. One scholarship is for students who secured more than 75% in hs and they will get 80000 . 8000 per month for 10 months. And their are some other scholarship also like for girls nijut moyna scheme .
Campus Life
Our college is famous for fest and functions in our.locality. annual Function, sharoda Utsob etc this are the functions held in our college. In our department common room is fully attached by our class room .from tomorrow our college annual sports will start . Third are many games , cricket, badminton , caroom etc
Admission
Actually I applied many colleges not only in Silchar but also outside state . I applied in Guwahati University, Delhi University, and other reputed Universities. But I got admission but not in my choice at last I decided that in Gurucharan College it is near my home so it will be easy to go to college and course is not so bad Bsc Economics.
Faculty
Faculties are actually good in our college. Every department faculties are good actually. For example ours department is economics department and we have only 5 faculties including hod sir . And each faculty do their job best . Among them my favourite teacher is Kusumananda Sir who not only taught Economics but also helps us how to live a life . Course just started not finished now .
Night Life
In Our college everything is available like gym , Library, and cantain also . For Every Gcians their favourite place is in the centre below jackfruit large tree . Every one seats here and find peace . Is a very popular spot for every Gcians. At night every lights that are powered by solar at day are on . It is a better idea to save electricity.
