I like the professor and teachers and their teaching skills
Good quality infrastructure well maintained
Beautiful campus and beautiful flowers and garden

Class room is a bit messy and not cleaned properly
Some paint repair is needed for some walls

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is a bit unique and have a good career The curriculum prepares us for real world applications and gives us skills based on real life applications in computer and science The course can be made more easy to understand so that it will need easy teaching method The exams are popping out of nowhere after start of every semester

Campus Life

We have freshers and sports and many more every year Every book is available for students and are accessible easily Good faculties and good technologies used It has freshers and sports like volleyball, football etc Some student run social groups not affecting theor life

Admission

I applied at Cotton college guwahati but got no confirmation I choose this college as it is near my rent and has less fees Yes i got because of less marks Its a bit complex first we need to apply to the board website and then in the college website and eligibility is obtaining a medium score and students prefer neet

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is good and has a good relationship between them and are approchable easily. I like our Head of department and practical teacher for being friendly I dont have any complaint with any faculty There are 2 final exams and 2 unit tests per season and are a bit difficult and some students fail to clear it but a good course curriculum

Night Life

Nice gym and canteen and library and beautiful public area Hostels are near and good and hood campus Favourite hangout place is outside the college like restaurant and inside the college is canteen The locality is not much safe at night

Course Curriculum Overview:

• I always loved plants, trees and forest as my father is from Forest background. So, I wanted to walk on his footsteps and do something is same background. I always dreamt of making a change in the society and serve the society so I choose Botany subject. •The curriculum is planned in such a way that we learn both theoretically and practically, we go on field trips where we interact with common people and do surveys that will help us in future while working on the department •There is no such areas that needs improvement, I like the way it is going on and the teaching method is also nice, only the thing is there should not be so many classes in one day, as a student gets very exhaust •The frequency and timing of exams is that in sessional its 25 marks with 1 hour 30 minutes and its easy to moderate, and 2nd is final which is of 50 marks with 2 hours 30 minutes and its moderate to hard

Life at G.C College, Silchar

Apart from this college I also applied to Assam University, Silchar but the campus is too far from my home and Gurucharan college, Silchar is nearer to my home and due to that I chose my current college. To get admission in Gurucharan college, Silchar, you need to apply at samarth portal of Assam government first then after fullfilling all the procedures you can go to college website and take admission to in any of the desired course and if you missed the chance, at the end of July if seats are still unfilled the college starts an on-spot admission process where you have to visit college and on the basis of first come first admit they start admitting students until seats are fulfilled.
