Course Curriculum Overview

3

Since statistics is a very demanded subject everywhere right now, it made me opt for this course. This course doesnt actually help in getting jobs though. Its very tough to get a job just with this degree. The course could include more of the modern day needs like ai, data science and more. The frequency of exam is 2 in 4 months. Its hard to cover all in 4 months

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 7500, excluding exam fee or others. Tution fee is 7500, registration fee is 250. Scholarships are available for SC/ST/OBC quota. And an aid of rs 5000 is availabile for 1st and 2nd position holder of TDC result

Campus Life

2

There is holi festival and some other respective departmental occasions. Good accessibility of books. No technologies used in classes. Not much of sports offered on campus. Not heard of any such groups.

Admission

I chose this college and rejesome other because of the distance. This was the only one with a good faculty and near my house. I did get rejected from DU since i didnt get the required marks in the entrance exam. The admission can be done by Samarth portal or CUET exam.

Faculty

3

The student-faculty ratio is 140-4. The faculty is approachable to a point. Not everyone encourages the interaction. There are 2 exams in 6 months. They are moderate in level. Not many fail my still it is a significant numbers.

Night Life

2

There are 2 gyms, one for boys and another for girls. There is a cafeteria and a library. Hostel timings are most probably from 6 to 7. I dont quite know since i didnt opt for one. And people hang out near the cafeteria. Its not very safe at night for girls. But not many incidents are reported

The course geology focuses on Earth's processes, natural resources and environmental challenges. It prepares me from real life application, field work, laboratory works and problem solving. To enhance the course more field study and hands-on experience is needed, guest lecturer from professionals in the field is required.

Pragjyotish College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Computer Science)
Reviewed on Dec 25, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspect that influenced me to choose this course is , computer science. I'm interested in coding and programming. The curriculum lacks in preparing you for real-world applications as it focuses on mostly theory part . The improvement they can do is , by teaching students practically more and theoretically less. Because coding requires practice. The difficulty level is average , so frequency and timing of exams are fine .
