What Students Say
Likes
- The seniors were quite good & helpful especially for me
- As a sportsperson i can say there are enough events for many types of sports especially cricket
Dislikes
- The college doesn't have Ac and it's hard to get lift, you'll have to climb 4-5 floors for class
- Most classes aren't good, the labs are fine but theory classes are bad
Course Curriculum Overview
I can't say much about the course as I've only started it, but I will say the 1st sem was mostly revisiting class 12th with a higher level of difficulty. But still I don't think much of it is useful. Exam frequency isn't very high as you have to give only give 2 exams apart from semester exam and only one is compulsory, though you have to submit two reports (ppt & word document) online.
Internships Opportunities
It's kind of a mixed bag, if you are good enough you can get internships but it definitely is difficult, though I haven't tried yet so I don't have a first hand experience regarding internships at Techno
Placement Experience
I've talked to seniors about placement and they seem to be quite satisfied with it as our average was 8-10 lpa with students even getting above 20lpa offers. Some also got placed from outside campus placement and they had even higher salaries
Fees and Financial Aid
I am a general student and my registration fee was 95000 rupees, for the second semester it reduces to 76000, for the third semester it is 75000, for fourth and fifth semesters it remains the same, and for the last four semesters it reduces to about 70000-72000 making a total of 600000 in four years
Campus Life
There are multiple events in TMSL, 1ST of all Technotkarsh is held(usually around October) it's a multi sport event including chess, sudoku, cricket, carrom etc. it's for 1st years and 2nd years only. Then comes Techno Main Cricket League (December- January) an inter department cricket league. Then Comes avahan in February - March, it's just like Technotkarsh but entire college can take part in it I can't say much about books because I never tried borrowing anything. There are smart classrooms, and halls with speakers and stuff
Admission
I got admitted through wbjee, my rank was 10000+, i checked last year's cutoff and saw Techno main salt lake was closest to my rank, I did also apply for Heritage Institute of Technology but my rank wasn't enough for it, I didn't apply for Institute of Engineering and Management as it was more school like and had almost no campus life.
Faculty
The faculties are quite approachable, though I'm an introvert I've been comfortable with them, especially the lab faculties. I won't take names but their are a mix of likeable and unlikable faculties, though likeables were more for me, even if the subjects were boring the teachers were good. Course Structure: 1st year, especially the 1st sem is all about basic science and humanities and the
Night Life
I'm a day scholar so I don't think I'm the best one to answer this. Though I've heard from friends that it's good there are cafeteria and other such things where people would like to go at such times.
