Likes

The faculty is very serious with study and helps with any problem you have
We can borrow books from the library for the semester which is very nice as I don't have to pay for books
The campus is very friendly and no one stops us from doing anything if we don't do anything wrong

Dislikes

It is very crowded and always busy , the place is always full
We have 3 lifts and even they are always busy
The faculty is good but the management team is very bad

Course Curriculum Overview

My course has been divided into 4 years which is very Smartly. We have the basic subjects in the first year and from 2nd year we have all subjects related to biotechnology I liked the idea of dividing everything and increasing the difficulty slowly

Class Size: 74Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship is for the final years I don't have that much clarity on it but the major companies are Google, microsoft and wipro etc it is stipend based it is great and genuine the college gives genuine internships

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for btech is 85000 per semester and 2000 exam fee per semester which is all . The college will first ask for 85000 during admission and after that 5000 for uniform and bag otherwise there is no hidden charges and no there is no chance of increase of fee

Campus Life

The campus is very fun we share our campus with techno main salt lake but it's ok there is collectively two grounds there canteens there are total 7 floors which is very huge I love the campus totally, the classrooms are clean the labs are advanced everything is great .

Admission

I really wanted to study in Kolkata and among the all colleges in Kolkata I researched and found out Techno India University gives the most freedom to there students and even it is a collection of education and fun I liked the environment so I took addmission in it

Faculty

The faculty is very friendly and always ready to teach I am the cr and I coordinate with them a lot so I know the most . And for the exam we have 3 exams in a semester IA 1 and IA2 consisting 20 marks and attendance last ESA consisting 70 marks . The IA 1 and IA2 are online based MCQ exams and ESA is offline based written exam

Night Life

We don't have hostels so students live in pgs the college is in salt lake area which is among the richest area of Kolkata there are many clubs , malls and restaurants in the area if you want to have fun this is a great place

My academics and campus life at amity university kolkata

Placement Experience:

Yes, there is a placement cell at the university campus. It conducts placement related activities and programs for the students. Students are eligible for the campus placement from the 5th semester. Some companies visit the campus to hire the students. Some of the companies are E&Y, SAP, Deloitte, TCS and they have made total approximately 40 offers out of 100 students. The highest and average package of our university is 28Lakhs and 5-6Lakhs for the role of SDE. The percentage of students getting placements if about 40-45%. The seniors told me that the companies offer good packages to the students. I am in my second year so I do not have much information about it. After completing degree from this university, I'm thinking to appear for GATE examination as I want to do my Master's from IIT's.

Placement Experience:

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.
