Course Curriculum Overview

4

The aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choos this couse is because of the low tuition fees. Yes the additional subjects is added in the curriculum which prepares for the real world applications or futher academic pursuits because of added subjects such as Grooming classes, skill enhancement courses

Placement Experience

1

May be due to the low fees provided by the college The placement is not too good, no big companies come here, the final semester students become eligible for campus placement. The highest packagae of the college is 2500000 and the minimum package is 250000. Percentage of students getting placement is very much low. My plans after getting the degree is go for masters and go for CSIR Net exam and get into research field

Fees and Financial Aid

My Branch is BSC Bio technology. My total course fees is 295000 . During admission we paid 55000 Semster wise we use to pay 30000. In every semester exam we need to fill exam form apart form total total course fees we need to pay extra 1 thousand for exam registration. There is no such reservation system for general students. Other than Bsc for BTECH CSE course their total tuition fees is 350000 , during every semester they use to pay 35000 and 1 thousand extra for every semster exam. Yeah there are scholarships or financial aid that are available for students, scholarship such as swami vivekaananda scholarahips. But this scholarship is is only avail for the students who are from West Bengal itself, means only local students can get scholarship

Campus Life

1

My college celebrate alot of festivals and fest. They celebrate prak sarodhya during the month of October. We can avail alot of books accessibility of books and journals available in the library. My college is providing karate classes, gym and all No there is no such social groups, clubs or student portals here is only nss group

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel is outside the college campus 700 m away from college. They are building a hostel inside the campus. Currently there is no such AC rooms The meal quality is average not too good not too bad, vegetarian like me faces a lot of problem in the hostel. The hostel total fees is 65000 of one year. There are a lot of rooms and pg available near the college which cost low compare to the hostel

Admission

I choose this college over the other college is mainly because of the low tution fees, because the total course fees they are providing compare to other colleges is very much low. Yeah i firstly choosed lpu Punjab, amity Jaipur and smit for different courses because cancel the procees or didn't ger admission there is because if high fess. My college registration process is very much easy compare to other college, firstly we need to book seat by paying 10,000 and come to college and get your admission

Faculty

1

The faculty to student ratio or the faculty to students relationship is good, but they talk in benglai language so the interaction is always between the local students and the proffesor. They neglect or ignore the students who are out of the begal or who don't speak bengali language

Night Life

1

Inside the college campus and outside the localii is safe to roam around at night. My college has open gym, and alot of cafeterias including nescafe and all... There is no famous or specific hangout places inside and outside the university. Night life is not good here

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

In today's competitive job market it becomes important for the college to not just help students get degrees but also provide them with placements and internships so that they can have the experience needed to stand at a competitive footing with the rest of the candidates in the world. To look into this, St. Xavier's College has a Placement Cell run by Placements officer Mr. Niladri Sinha under whose guidance, various companies visit the college regularly looking for capable young minds to take under their wing and help provide them with the necessary exposure and experience so that they can combat any obstacles that they face.

The college offers good placements for economis. Students in their final year are eligible for campus placements and there is a cell dedicated to placements. Many students do not opt for placements and go for higher studies but many students who opt for it, get placed with decent packages. Many well-known companies visit the campus as well. I wish to explore my options after completing the degree as of now.

We have a placement cell helping students get placed. They keep posting opportunities like internships and fellowships throughout the year to groom students and give them exposure and experience. Placements can go to very high packages like those in Data Science, Big 4 consulting or core finance or banking jobs. CAs, CFAs and FRMs do well in the placements. The highest packages could surpass 12-13 LPA and median packages are close to 6-7 LPA. DE Shaw, Zomato, Myntra, Meesho, TCS and McKinsey are some top companies coming here.
