IIEST Shibpur-Review

The growing demand in artificial intelligence and machine learning influenced me to choose B Tech in computer science and engineering.I think from first year onwards students need to taech about their branch specific subjects rather than teaching same course to all branch students in first year.In my opinion there is no need to change frequency and timing of exams they are already in accordance with students welfare.

Unstop , meta,google and microsoft are the top notch companies who offer internships in our college with stipend around 30-40 k per month.There are hackathons and various tach fest are organised to develop students skill.

After 7th sem students are eligible for college placements. Companies like meta, amazon ,unstop,google and MS visited my college. Highest package of my college is around 56 lpa and lowest is around 8 lpa.

Annual fees of my college is around 150000 including tuition fees and Hostel fees.Tuition fees is around 1 lakh and Hostel fees is around 60 thousand.For full tuition fee waiver it is around 20 thousand.

Kolkata's largest tech fest like instruo is held in our college.In our college each and every festival is celebrated.There is central library for student's to study.Library is large enough to provide all kinds of books related to engineering.

Average package of my college in year is around 19 lpa for Computer science branch and I am unable to qualify for IITs.Based on its higher NIRF ranking I choose this college.IIEST established in year 1856 which is also plus point to join this college due to its large alumni network.

There are total of 8 semester in B tech for each year there are two semester and for each sem there are two exams mid sem and end sem.faculty to student ratio is around 16.The faculty of computer science department is dedicated and passionate about their work.The sem exams are of medium level. Only two or htree students are failt to clear this exams and excluding 1st year exams all are course relevant.

There is gym available in our college.Institute canteen ,Cafe,Oval ground,lord's ground and garden are pleasure to watch.Clock tower is also an art of engineering to watch.In timing of my Hostel is around 10p.m.
