Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is great. It is followed as per RGUHS ( Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) guidelines. There are currently RS4, RS5 and RS6 curriculums. Each curriculum is different in it's own way. The pattern of subjects, exams and NEXT exam has changed as per each year and curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

5

We have one year compulsory internship in our college to get a degree. We are given ?26k-?30k stipend. We work in all departments for a month and get experience of all the specialities. We stay in hostel during internship where we are provided with separate rooms. After internship we've to complete one year compulsory bond service, or else you've to pay ?5 lacs to break the bond. During the bond service you'll be posted in any ESIC Hospital across the India and you'll be paid starting from ?95k upto 1.5 lacs per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year Wise Fee Structure for (IP Quota students)- 1st year total - around 30k (including hostel fees) 2nd year total - around 30k (including hostel fees) 3rd year total - around 36k (including hostel fees) 4th year total - around 50k (including hostel fees) As ESIC is a government institution it has high cutoff. IP Quota students come from all over the India here. For IP Quota you must be having IP Ward Certificate which you can get by applying in AIQ. You must have ESIC Card. Your parents should be Insured Person and have less than 21k salary and must have contributed 1 year for insurance.

Campus Life

5

X-tasy is the annual festival of our college. We make different teams which compete against each other in the competitions in different aspects like sports, culturals and literary events. There is a resourceful library with AC which is accessible from 8AM to 9 PM. We've different groups and committees in college. Quiz committee is the most active one. We also have college magazine.

Hostel Facilities

4

3-2 people share hostel rooms. We've shared washrooms on the floor which are cleaned daily. The hostel is mopped daily. Water cans are provided by the hostel and filter tank is also available. We get one bed, one desk, one chair, one drawers set, one small table, one cupboard. You cannot keep any electronics. Food served in college canteen is very affordable and tasty. ?60- 2 sabji+2 rotis+ Rice, Dal, Salad, Sweet (Kheer, Gulab jamun, etc.), papads, curd. College hostel mess also provides good food. ?130/day x non-veg two times weekly (quantity is less for non-veg) In front of college there are khanavalis which cost you around ?50-?70 for each meal. You can apply for hostel which taking admission. The hostel fees is ?10k per year which is quite affordable compared to other options.

Admission

I got Medical College in Maharashtra after Counselling round 1. As I'm a resident of Maharashtra (domicile). In second round of All India Quota counselling I applied for ESIC College. ESIC College is a government college with great facilities, faculties and environment. Good pays are offered so I chose this over that college as this one is quite near to my hometown.

Faculty

5

There are around more than 100 faculties in the campus. Faculties are very friendly and approachable. Our college has mentor mentee program. So each faculty mentors 5-6 students from each batch. It's quite easy environment around here. Mentors help in research papers and conferences. We've total 3 internal exams in total each year. We need to pass/eligible all 3 exams to get eligibility to write final/university exams. Internals exams are basically practice for final exams, so it's very helpful. The curriculum is pretty much perfect as per the course. We have different types of conferences, CMEs and workshops in our college that helps to boost our resume and confidence.

Night Life

4

There is no gym in college as per now, but there are many gyms near the college which will cost you around 1-3k as per your choice. There are many cafeterias as well around the campus. There is one cafeteria in the college and one in hospital. You can have daily food from college canteen, hospital canteen, hostel mess, different local mess which provides food to your hostel in lunchboxes or you can go outside of campus there are many khanavalis. Library is in the campus and it has many books, also AC and lockers are available. In- time for hostel is 9:30 PM. If you wanna leave the hostel (to go home or trip) after that then you need warden's permission. They make you pay ?500 fine if you're late. It's not safe to roam. You can go Buddha Vihar it is near the campus. You can go for walks in Gulbarga University. There are many temples and dargahs where we can go. There are few malls as well to hangout and play games. You can watch movies as well. There are 3-4 cinema halls here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Same curriculum as the NMC is followed . In the beginning ears there wont be much exposure clinically like any other hospitals later on in 3rd amd 4th year there is more clinical exposure and patient interaction. According to me the exam level of 1st year is a bit tough as it is a changing phase from 12th to college and everything is new later on we get adjusted and find it easy and will understand how to phase the exam and how it is different from the previous exams of 11th or 12th . Only one exam will be for a academic year which includes the whole syllabus of that year
