Course Curriculum Overview

2

Nothing as such influenced me to take up this course in this college. but yes teaching wise they completed the syllabus on time and gave us study holidays. i am glad to take admission in this college. The exams occur every 3 months for like a week or 2. the difficulty level is moderate

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship is in the hospital Of Esic itself. We work for 365 days in the hospital after our 4 years of MBBS is completed and the stipend is 33,000 per month. We have to write charts, cases, help with the dressing, go in ots, help with deliveries etc

Fees and Financial Aid

The year-wise fees is 110000 or one lakh ten thousand every year for the people admitted through AIQ or Karnataka State Quota. And the fees for people admitted through IP quota is 25,000 per year. Tuition fees is 110000 and Caution fees is 5000. The category fees is the same according to quota but they get scholarships through SSP and some people apply for KMDC loan

Campus Life

3

We have AVIGNOTSAVA which is the event of ganesh chaturthi which is held every year in our college and its pretty cool. We have Yearly college fest, Graduation, Freshers and sometimes Kanna Rajotsava day celebration. We have our own magazine which is in the process of printing. Our college has Cricket and football teams and we play both inter and intra college games. Power point presentations are used for teaching

Admission

I applied to GIMS, MRMC, KBNIMS gulbarga and BMC bangalore, ESIC banglore but i decided to stay in gulbarga and wanted GIMS but my rank was a little bit lower so i got ESIC MC instead of GIMS. I was admitted through NEET UG exam and attended counselling through KEA.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:30. The relationship of faculty with the students is good. They are approachable and they interact well and teach well. I loved the hod of anatomy he is a really good teacher and very nice hod. There were 3 internal exams conducted and 1 university exam. passing people are 125/150

Night Life

4

We have 2-3 gyms near our campus and we have canteens in the basement of college and hospital, public area is open because it is a hospital as well Hostel timings are till 9 pm at night. Famous hangout places are anywhere infront of the college, polar bear ice cream, Oaks elite, Udupi upahar

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
