Course Curriculum Overview

4

Doctor is a noble profession , the mere respect which we get by being doctor is one of the prime motive for me to pursuade this course Aside from physiology , anatomy and biochemistry we have a e t c o m which is a type of curriculum which is thought to us in which we learn to deal with different situations during our career and they also help us in terms of improving our communication which is very crucial In real life application . Personally for me the curriculum started on September and we had our first internals in January 2nd around March third round me and we had a final exams in August Honestly speaking MBBS is not an easy course , it is really hard, you need to understand the core, and then applied to even in theory and practical exams. concept

Internships Opportunities

3.5

After 4 and half years of our study we'll be given one year internship , this will be provided in our college affiliated hospital itself that is mc gann general hospital overall 150 students of a particular batch will be assigned for different departments based on their admission number and then you need to work for whole year in there the monthly stipend for the resident doctor in in there is around 30000 which is quite good compared to other states

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college you can't get that lavish environment as in private . But compared to other government colleges it is way more better . It is alloted to us by KEA ( Karnataka examination authority ) wherein 85% is reserved for state quota students whereas rest of them is reserved for national quota students . Initially some amount should be paid for Karnataka examination authority , that is for general it is for 60100rs and for sc/st students it is around 500 rupees . Additionally 20000rs should be paid to the institute , this includes library fee , and some other additional requirements . You should also provide necessary documents like 2nd PUC marks card ,10th marksheet, Aadhar card etc , you should submit the original document to the institute with attested copy. This way you will be admitted to the medical college

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of festivals held in our colleges some of which include nudi Kannada it is a comprehensive festival that is particularly concentrated on kannada language which is our state language there will be lot of activity is held in an around Kannada languages and there will be annual concerts college phase extra which will be celebrated by the college and with that there is also be national festivals which will be held by college itself We also have gym in our colleges which enhances the physical attribute of the student along with mental also We even have a magazine group in our college which which design magazines on overall annual achievement of our college

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is really good in here. In first year a single room will be shared by 4 students , in second and third year it will be shared by 3 students and then in final year and in internship it will be shared by two students . we get our personal bed , personal chair and desk and personal cupboard to store our clothes . We pay monthly 800 rupees as hostel fee throughout the year in all profs . Hostel fee varies from 4000 to 4500 per month , this is because the hostel food is premium in here . 50000 is the annual expenses for hostel accomodation in our college for a year

Admission

During KEA counselling I applied for numerous medical colleges some of which include Bangalore Medical College, Mysore Medical College ,Karnataka institute of Medical science ,hassan institute of Medical science, shree atal Bihari Vajpayee institute of Medical science etc. But unfortunately my rank was not enough to get into this colleges as mine was 38671 AIR . THIS IS NOT ENOUGH TO GET INTO THIS MEDICAL COLLEGES . And compared to rest of them this was a bit good and was coming under my rank range . hence I choose this vehicle college . We need to write neet exam in order to enter this college . Admission process is quite complicated as unit to confirm your identity and then submit your documents in KEA that is in Bangalore then you need to get a confirmation slip from them and then download admission order and then pay a fee of around 60100 rs

Faculty

3

The average faculty to student ratio in here is around 20 . But it may very with different departments as a different departments have varying number of faculty in them. We have friendly faculty in here they help us a lot and try to clear each and every doubt of ours The curriculum we have is like there will be 3 internals before final examination each internals will cover different topics will have one exam and the subsequent practical for that particular subject hence we have 6 exams that is 3 written exams and three practical exams for three subjects

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.
