Remarks

SIMS is one of the best college in Karnataka and people can learn more things. As it is goverment based college ,you will get to know all the govt schemes and get the opportunity to treat the needy. Faculty members are also well qualified. One can go for the studies over here if you are interested to do the PG.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is a 3 year based program with 5 seats availability . The course focuses much on the research based practices as it is a government based college, most of public health related research goes on. The college is situated in Mc-Gann hospital ,all the low socio economic people come here for the treatment so we had good exposure. Exams are based on semester wise and it was chilled.

Placement Experience

4.5

As the college is goverment based, placements are not available for the medicos. It is only available for non-teaching staff and diploma students. As it is goverment college ,when you go outside you will have good reputation. College provides internship too.

College Events

5

College conducts cultural fests and sports program every year accordingly. We even celebrate the college day. Cultural programs are at the best and we enjoyed well as we had good talented people in our batch . Our seniors were also very jovial with us . They also use to engage in the activites along with us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quiet feasible as it is 3L for the whole study , scholarship facility is available for the merit students. Educational loan facilities are also available for the students who are not affordable to pay. They need to submit the bank copies and details in the account department.

Campus Life

College has good infrastructure with all the facilities like a academic zone, auditorium, computer lab , convocation hall , cultural zone , library ,gym area etc . Students can utilise their free time by learning something new. There is no gender bias & politics inside the campus and hospital.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. Food and bed both are available. Quality of the food is good and the hostel charges are around 12k minimum. Residential homes are also available but for the faculty.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini are always helpful and when cultural fests are organised seniors usually come and attend the events if they are available near by. All are really helpful and attend our needs during our examinations. They help us with exam guides ,explains us about the practical knowledge and treatment procedures.

Admission

I belong to rural part of the Karnataka, I have to decided to study in Karnataka itself hence I found this college to be the best for rendering my PG course. This is a semi government based college under affiliation of RGUHS. When it comes to admission process ,you require minimum 50% marks in MBBS as eligibility criteria and should pass the NEET exam with below 30k rank. You also need to fill the application form at the time of admission with basic information and profile. This is one of the best college for the localities.

Faculty

4.5

There are more than 120 faculty in this college. Our professor is one of the kindest and helping person we ever had. He always takes us to the hospital and made us learn everything in detail based on practical knowledge. And all the other staff are also really good in helping out the students and clearing their doubts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1st i opted for b.pharm but once i got to know about pharm.d it shifted my focus, well Pharm.D is much bigger and deeper course as compared to b.pharm and m.pharm, there is an subject (pharmacotherapy) which is exclusive only for pharm.D , the course will bring in depth knowledge about drugs, manufacturing, storing, pharmacokinetics and dynamics, one thing i'd like to change is the practical knowledge, i would like to add more in depth practical knowledge, more exposure to the students in every aspects needed. The course is too big but with proper guidance and knowledge it feels easy.
