Course Curriculum Overview

5

Ai course is really really good, but what i hear ece, eee and mech are really really really bad. Cse and ai are really good courses in this college. They give free access to ieee papers if u join through thr college internet and we do a lot of projects

Internships Opportunities

1

Internships are given(like they send links to join from unstop and all) but there is no guarantee that ull get an internship...to be honest most people dont get internship in amrita, cause the company is also seeing from other colleges.

Placement Experience

1

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

So i pay 3.5l for school fees and 50k for bus fees. I joined through jee mains scores and i scored 89 percentile....there is an amrita exam and u can get scholarship fees till 1l per anum....but if u get below 8sgpa in any semester u loose that and ull need to pay like 2 or 2.5l and it keeps on increasing the lower the marks(scholarship is only given to people who have joined through the amrita exam)

Campus Life

2

Clubs are good. I was a part of kala(the art club) and currently part of the pre placement committee (ppc) but like they dont have that many active clubs as they advertise to everyone....like only a handful like 15 clubs are active...most of them are just inactive with max 1 event per year.

Admission

I got eee in pes and ai in amrita. I lowkey joined amrita without any choice....even though i like the course i joined a lot...the college environment is very very bad and some of my classmates struggle in reading english too, it was soo bad we had a subject mandatory called english were they would teach verbs and nouns and all.

Faculty

5

The ai and cse courses are really really good. I can only speak for ai. But i wouldnt recommend anyone joining for any couse other than cse and ai. I have 9 publications in ieee/springer conferences so for ai publications and projects are focused a lot.

Night Life

1

Hostel is really really bad. The food is not flavourful but really really spicy for no reason. My boyfriend even got a kidney stone by living in the hostel. Cockroaches and insects in food are a normal thing and hygine isnt something thats there at all. Also they groupism in hostels. You cannot get cooked outside food(like swiggy) but u can get groceries like zepto. But no electronic items like an induction, or even a kettle is allowed so students cant cook inside for survival and are forced to eat the food from the hostel. U cant get out of hostel once u joined the hostel unless u have a guardian within 75kms of the college.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Some standard food related companies are visited nestle, ITC mysore , sulawines and some other companies also. The CGPA of the students is 7.5 or more is good below this also get selected but more than 7.5 is good. My plan is after completion of course then do work and get some experience in the industries and some of the time I am going to select a product and launch it over the world.

Many companies like TCS, Diggibyte, Zoho, etc. and the offers are from 3 lakh to 16 lakh per annum. Percentage of students getting placements are about 90% My plan is to get into the IT sector as i have an interest to explore and enhance my technical skills

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
