Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum had basic subject like maths physics during first years, we also had subjects focusing on AI, and computer science. So it had the best of both preparing for the industry as we also have practical lab sessions to actually implement what we learnt. We also have fixed periods and timings, and attendence shouldnt go beyond 75, The difficulty level depends on the subjects, but we can score for quizzes and labs easily so we can pass quickly if we find passing as difficult. Endsem project is way better than exam because we are actually learning to build than blind write.Overall its good.

Placement Experience

5

From your 6th semesters companies will start to come for internships, and from 7th semester companies will come for internship+full time. average is around 7 lpa and lowest would 4 lpa and highest as of now is 25 SAP and Arista Networks.Several good companies visit like TCS, LTIMindtree, Cognizant, Amazon, SAP, Oracle, Guidwire etc

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 6000 usd as I am an NRI. Non scholarship category pays around 450000 Scholarship 1st slab pays 150000 2nd slab pays 250000 3rd slab pays 350000 but now they have increased. Scholarship fees slab 1 is 150000 slab 2 is 275000 slab 3 is 400000 non scholarship fees is 600000

Campus Life

5

There are several extracurricular activities like sports day, arts day, Techfests, 3 day annual fest, DAASTAN which is multicultural fest. There are several clubs around 48 clubs both non technical and technical. There is library facility too which is huge and you get to access all books from technical to non technical.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel mess food is fixed for a week and its only veg food. Once a week we get egg boiled. The quality is good but because its repeated some may not like it. Registration for hostel is done during the process itself. 4 people in one single room and common washrooms and theres also gym.Theres fixed timings for hot water too.

Admission

I did get BTECH+MTECH 5 year course in VIT but didnt go because its a 5 year course. But i chose Amrita since I got AIE and it was Bengaluru which is the city side. I got through NRI category since I am from UAE. I did write AEEE with that score i got selected. You need to qualify certain criteria like 10th and 12th minimum of 65 or 70 and AEEE also.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:16.Theres over 12000+ students and faculty strength over 1500. The faculties are very approachable, theyre very kind and will help you through everything. There are several faculties I liked because of how approachable they are and friendly. My course Structure was that we had 2 quizzes converted to 10 each, 2 labs converted to 15 each, and midsems of 50 marks converted to 20 and endsem project or written depending on the course converted to 30. This is the exam system. Sometimes we get assignments too.

Night Life

4

The hostels have gym seperate for girls and boys. You can stay inside the college till like 8 for girls its more stricts. Outing timing is 3:30 to 6:30 everyday. During we need to take gatepass and do video call with parents for permission. There are so many cafes near the college and even lakes its really beautiful.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
