Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is pretty decent and relevant to the topics..it is very detailed and precise covering everything one needs to succeed in their field...internships and postings give real hands on knowledge experience

Internships Opportunities

4

After 4 years of medical training the college offers 1 year of internship in various fields of medicine which gives a hands on experience. Stipend is around 30000 per month for an intern. Overall internship experience is pretty good

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees - 17lakh per annum and it is increasing NRI fees 20lakh per annum Hostel fee-1.7lakh per annum No scholarship Course is for 5 years so my total fee comes out to be around 1cr and again it is increasing per year

Campus Life

4

There is no such campus in the Mangalore branch of KMC but the events conducted are pretty good like REVELS and UTSAV and INVICTUS and many more. There is a team here called zolo which organises events on diwali and Holi and other festivals like that. Talking about clubs, there are a lot of clubs related to surgery radiology emergency medicine media orthopaedics etc which are pretty helpful for cv etc there is extracurriculars also like sports and debates and cultural activities

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facility is pretty good with renovated rooms with attached bathrooms instead of common sharing bathrooms which gives a lot of privacy to oneself ambient lighting and ventilation is there with ac. A lot of storage is provided for all your needs. Meal quality of the hostel mess could be improved but it is better that most college messes

Admission

I chose this college because among the options available to me this was the best as it is affiliated with many private and government hospitals with provide a good real world experience. admission process was through NEET exam. I couldn't get better colleges due to my marks so I chose the best I was getting which was this college

Faculty

5

Faculty is very nice and there is never a shortage of professors. Everyone is very approachable and helpful. All behave well with students except a few which we don't really mind. The community medicine and forensic department falls short on the above mentioned details. Students both fail and pass as happens in every college. Exam structure could be improved

Night Life

3

There's a college library and library inside the hostels for anyone of the college to use which comes in handy during exams. Gym services are also nice around college with 3-4 gyms nearby. Hangout places include onyx bar swirlyo donjons liquid lounge recycle lounge gaming zones shetty lunch home and many more

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.
