Life at Geck

The course curriculum of this academic year is a new one. This new syllabus is well oriented for job oppurtunities. The internship oppurtunities provided in this term help them to get to know about jobs in each respective sector. The exam are happening frequently and each question can vary from easy to hard level.

The internship oppurtunities of our collage has many companies that offer students internship ofders . Companies like Tata , Reliance etc that have many mechanical sectors which can give a mechanical student like me to explore my opportunities. Myself since I am a first year i have yet to go for internship in these companies.

The campus placement process starts at the 7th sem of the 4year course.Some of the companies that came here are TATA,L&T, TCS,Reliance etc. and have an average salary package of 3lakh to 5 lakh per annum

For yearly fees we are paying abiut 9500 rupees as tution fee. we have to pay extra fees for transportation,exam fee,PTA fund etc.Each sem the exam fee may vary . There are also sports and entertainment fund etc.

The overall campus life is very good. The only drawback i faced is that the campus itself is small as compared to other collages and the collage for itself doesnt have a ground for sports activities. Tje collage offers many sports activities like football, basketball, badminton etc that students can join . Apart from this there are movie club, dance club, music band for students. All of the classes have a projector so that teachers can present and teach the class.

The admission procedure to collages here are through KEAM which is an entrance exam for joining respective collages. After the ranklist is published we are alloted to respective collages of our choice. I had more options above GECK but due to the cut off I've been placed at GECK and it was a good thing because all the faculties have good subject knowledge and are super friendly.

The faculty members of our collage are well trained and most of them have doctrate in thier respective field. The have very deep subject knowledge and are very supportive and their way if teaching is very unique and entertaining to listen to them.

The collage itself is situated at Kozhikode which is one of the most beautiful place in kerala. The night life itself in collage is not much great but if we go out there are plenty of place to visit like kozhikode beach and many food spots like Paragon hotel, Edeld hotel ,starbucks and there are also malls like Lulu mall and hilite mall etcc.
