Course Curriculum Overview

Physics chemistry maths required for the exam called jee mains and after that on basis of rank the merit list is created of the colleges and seats alloted. Couse is btech which is good and one can do in any field as per interest.

Placement Experience

No paid intern is provided by the college Itself one can learn under guidance of teachers but no stipend is provided. For placements companies come to our college and people of cse ece are max placed

Photography club is there dramatics club is there literacy club apostle of speech and all many clubs are there for the activities at the college for the students as per the interest people join and enjoy

Fee Structure And Facilities

For one year around 60 to 62 thousand is the fees and its ok as compared to other and feaslible very less compared to private universities so it’s not much expensive one can afford easily this much fee

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is based on the merit in the class for getting a scholarship you should be the topper of the class. I don’t have any idea about the loan facility i should not provide wrong information so I don’t know about loan facility

Campus Life

Activities like bhangra singing photography dramatics apostle of speech literacy club all such activities are there and all those subjects which require practical work labs are also there for that and practicals are also performed in it

Hostel Facilities

No I’ve not opted for hostel because I’m a localite and hostel facilities are not too good it’s just okay. Food is not good but okay okay only. Infrastructure of hostel is not food to be frank but students live there only

External Expense: Rs.10000 - Rs.15000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors are good helpfull can tell about the exam pattern how to study and you can seek any sort of help from them whenever you want to know about something they are always ready to help for it so its good

Admission

JEE MAINS entrance exam joint entrance exam for btech. Then online we have to fill jac then counselling goes on and seat is alloted then we have to go and get docs verified at Punjab University then we can go further attend classes

Faculty

Good faculty here in the college all good teachers are there and building is also in good condition beches are also fine overall it’s good for study and one can learn a lot from the faculty and attend various clubs for activities

PEC - History and optimism

Likes

The campus is over 100 years old and has strong alumini network.
Placements are good as per my rank in JEE
Peer group is good and there are diversed people all around

Dislikes

Infrastructure is really old; but then again legacy comes at a cost.
Campus is smaller as compared to NITs and IITs ; so is the funding
Its still not an institute of national importance. Has no nation wide recognition

Placement Experience:

Since the first batch of VLSI is yet to be placed I would take example of ECE for reference. Out of 110 students which sat for placements , 91 got placed , median of 13 lakh with avergae of 16 lakh and 61 lakh highest on campus. These are of 24-25 and this year placements are better as even apple visited us after an hiatus of 3 years. In core electronics , Samsung Rnd , TATA electronics , Cadence , Micron etc visited for tech , UKG , PhonePay , Oracle , Accenture etc vist in consulting and finance , Mckinsey , JP Morgan , GoldmanSachs , AmericanExpress visit. After my btech I plan to do a job.

Likes

Syllabus is good, it is very versatile and updated according to the industry standards
The University also has a good events and also a good night life
The infrastructure is very modern with unique outlets to eat in

Dislikes

There is a uniform system which is very bad according to university
Very strict rules regarding in and out of the University
The outlets in university are quite expensive

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read

SVIET: my turning point

Likes

Special labs for the Super60 students only
Special faculty offered to the super60 batch
DCA interaction classes every week for placement drills

Dislikes

Too much interference in students personal life
Discrimination in fee stucture, uniques and Super60 and non super60(either in terms of facilities or branding) batch
Too much pressure, harrasment, irrelevent burden, abusive behavior of the management and some of the faculty members. Calls, parents for every small thing to make them worried, this is bad specially for the students living far away from their house..

Placement Experience:

As a Btech student, we get elegible in 7th sem for the placement drives virtuos, bebo, Antire are such companies that visits our campus highest package: 800000 LPA lowest: 1,50000 LPA 90% students get placed I would love to go into corporate life after degree

Life at Panjab University

Likes

Student who are eager for there startup gets better chance
Campus life is best students get chance to interact with different departments students
Students politics is major highlight cause it helps one to understand there voting right and value of one vote

Dislikes

Can be seprate hostel for each departments
There is no such bad thing that I came across then monkeys in University campus near hostels
No shop is open in University after 9 pm

Placement Experience:

In our college students need to have 6CGPA to still in campus placements and our college have a Club that overseas all the placement oppertunityies and the placement starts from 7th semester onwards when students starts there seventy semester the company's starts visiting campus for placement and internship opportunity as well

Likes

Most of the things like stuC(students centre)
One the things I like the most is boys hostel no 8/7
One thing I like the most is the building and structure of gandhi bhavan

The thing I dislike the most is the boys hostel no 6/1
Food of students.centre was also one thing that I dislike tha most
Building of my college that was block 3 that was hated by most students

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Nmims Chandigarh for btech review

Likes

Good facilities, really teaches student and give individual attention in class too
Good infrastructure , as it was just built in 2021, the infrastructure is top notch and no complaints about it.
Papers are being checked anonymously, one’s paper can be checked by any teacher in any campus, so no chance of partiality

Dislikes

80% strict attendance criteria other they would not allow to sit in exam
Passing criteria is 40% and grading system is also bery difficult, two D grade is 1 F and more than 2F could lead to year repeat year, not even semster
Alot of assigments, really hectic at times

Placement Experience:

We have avergae package of 12 lpa and 57lpa highest, i am not aware of how mqny placed. As such i have plan to get placed but if things didnt go out as planed then mba or mtech maybe. Our campus just opened recently so there is no much information but our placements are central that means, companies visting mumbai have to visit us too, and u can refer mumbai campus placement for our campus because its counted on central level and not varries campus to campus

Good remark is that ragging is banned and any student found doing wrong this is thrown out from college

The admission process was very time-consuming as it lasted for more than a month but it was ok and the admissions are based on JEE mains all india rank score. There is no 75% criteria in board exams to take admission in this college. Admission to this college is through JAC counselling and through JEE Mains channel. Okay so for getting admission in Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology Sector 26 Chandigarh 1st you have to give JEE mains exam for that exam you have to attempts in a year provided by NTA. After giving JEE mains exam you have to apply for Jack Chandigarh counselling that takes place after the JEE mains result has been declared they are total free rounds for that Chandigarh counselling and after the three rounds there are some rounds for spot rounds. If you are looking to get admission in computer science or electronics plans then you have to achieve at least 5260000 rank in JEE mains if you come from general quota and other state there is 85% reservation for students that are in Chandigarh and 15% for other state quota. So as another state quota student and as a hostess and as a computer science student I would recommend you to achieve at least 50000 to 60000 rank if you are looking for CSE or electronics branch in our college....Read More

CCET- an decent college if you want to learn and discover yourself along with knowledge

Firstly,one should have appeared and scored decent marks in JEE MAINS and have to apply through JAC CHANDIGARH counselling and opt for this college. And should have 50% or above in 12th The application for gets out around after JEE MAINS session 2 and can be found on google easily. One can avail reservations like ST,SC,EWS,Tuition fee waiver,etc. The cutoffs are somewhat decent. I had 109000 rank and got ECE here...Read More

Better college for 50k rank in mains

For admission they take jee mains rank into consideration and for leet they take PULEET into consideration.
