Course Curriculum Overview
The course is great. I love history a lot. Curriculum is wide raning and expansive. Love the variety and comprehensive readings given. However, due to NEP and latest curriculum addition of various other subjects like SEC, VAC it gets tough to focus on your main course.
Internships Opportunities
Internship cell of our college makes available certain internships to all the courses of our college. However, they are full time and on site or remote which is not feasible for a college student. The internships can be a bit student friendly.
Placement Experience
Average placement package last year was 7.90 LPA. So, overall very beneficial for BCOM and economics students since they get placements. Would have preferred some wide ranging placement availability on the basis of skills than course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Annual fees of our college is between 25000-30000. Our entire graduation can get completed in less than 1 Lakh INR fees. IQAC and Merit cum Need based scholarships are available for designated students.
Campus Life
I have been involved as Editorial Coordinator for NSS Hansraj in 2nd year. Last year, I was volunteer for the Padhaku wing and Editorial sub-wing. Participated in several seminars and academic endeavours taken on by the History Department and college as well.
Admission
I couldn't make it to other colleges which I put on top on the preference list due to not being able to meet the cut off criteria. Hansraj was my 4th preference after Stephen's, miranda and hindu. I would have preferred Stephen's over Hansraj but now I grew comfortable with Hansraj also so it's fine.
Faculty
There are good but less faculty as compared to students. They are well educated, concerned for students and well connected with everything. However, they lack the amiable nature sometimes. Overall, decent experience.
Night Life
The area, Malka Ganj, Kamla Nagar is a delight to hang out at night. With friends–its amazing to hang out at night at Sudhama chai stall, vada pav stand, tom uncle's maggie and VC lawn as well. A very delightful campus overall.
Other Applied Colleges
St Stephen's College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (History)
I couldn't get this college due to not meeting the cut off criteria.
