Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of my course of good . I am pursuing BA Program therefore we have to study two different domains. The syllabus of both the domains is interactive and useful for building a knowledge based . The books recommended are those of great writers and help us to grasp the conceptual based of the domain steadily . The faculty of geography domain was not very great initially . At first, I was disappointed but now the new faculty is great . They are very helpful and have strong knowledge base. The other domains faculty is very nice and easygoing.

Internships Opportunities

4

The placement cell of the college is very active. They provide paid internship and opportunities from time to time. Many companies approach the placement cell with various paid opportunities. Overall , variety of internship opportunities are provided by the college placement cell. During the time period of our course .

Placement Experience

3

The highest and average package offered during Miranda House placements 2023 stood at INR 21.5 LPA and INR 8.97 LPA, respectively. Further, the lowest package offered during Miranda House College placements 2023 stood at INR 4.5 LPA. Apart from this, a total of 69 offers were released during Miranda House placements 2023. Apart from this, the highest stipend offered during Miranda House placements 2023 was INR 60,000.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearwise fees of my course is around 15000 which I consider pretty reasonable for the facilities provided. There aren't many other charges or fees applied throughout the year which is financially great. However some extra curricular fees are applied for example societal activities charges and MUNs participation fees. Overall, the college fees structure is pretty reasonable for the facilities provided.

Campus Life

5

I really like being the campus . The whole campus is very cheerful with positive vibes . The crowd is fun, cheerful and easy going . The campus is very colorful surrounded by meritorious students. The infrastructure of the college is very good with acs in most of the classes. The campus area is huge with lawns and gardens everywhere. The library of the college is very pretty. It is my favourite part of the college. The sports and extra curricular activities offer a wide range of activities. The clubs and societies provide various opportunities to enhance personal skills. Over-all, I am very pleased with my social life in the campus

Admission

This is an all girls college which is really very great for our safety . The course curriculum and the faculty of the course is very good for our development .This college is among one of the best colleges in delhi University . The ranking and the safety of the college made me opt for the course and this particular college .I applied for this college only but for a different course that is geography hons so in order to continue pursuing my interests in geography I opted for BA program with geography as my major . We had to give an entrance exam for the admission and only the meritorious students were able to grab a seat in the college.

Faculty

3

The faculty of my course is okay-ish. The total teachers are around 40 which I consider good for the student intake. My economics teacher is really good and her way of teaching is great too. But the geography teacher initially was not good. She was not a good mentor . But now we have got a new faculty for geography and I am pleased with my current faculty . There are total 7 exams in my curriculum with 3 being the core exams and other are skill based courses. The difficulty level of the exams are not that high but moderate.

Interview Experience

4

We had to give an entrance exam for admission into the college. We had to give common University entrance test. Only the meritorious students were able to take amdission into the top colleges of the Delhi University.

Night Life

3

The gym of college is open for anyone to use 24/7 . The hostel timing are also considerate i.e 10 Pm so everyone gets a chance to explore the area around campus which is actually pretty good for the social development of students. There are many other colleges around ours. More over there are parks as well to enjoy during harsh winter during day

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
