Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course ba hons persian is somewhat good as the curriculum provides us for real world applications understanding the culture of the world and so on .the areas for improving should be that the faculty of persian should focus how they can add more and more students into the course .the frequency of the exam is there are two semesters held per year with moderate difficulty level

Fees and Financial Aid

To start off with my course is BA ( hons) persian and it's yearly fees is across Rs. 14000 leaving behind the the examination fees which is around 1200 per semester. The fee structure for this course in my college zakir hussain is well and good and also the facilities here are great for persian hons. If we look at the other courses as well like bcom hons and program the fee structure for almost all the courses are nonetheless same . There is also a facility of full fees refund for the students who are economically weak and if their family are not able to bear the cost of their studies . The full fees for 3 year course of BA hons persian from zakir hussain delhi college du including the examination form fees would cost one around 50,000 for full graduation which is somewhat less in these times . Doing graduation from persian will provide one an opportunity to do jobs like translator , in the embassies etc. hence it would provide an great opportunity for the ones who will be pursuing persian hons from zakir hussain college as it is very much affordable college with good facilities around .

Campus Life

5

The campus life of this college is very best. As there are many societies in the college which focuses on different aspects such as nss focuses on society development, ncc on making you a strong cadet and also there are many dance singing society .in short there is society for every co curricular activity

Admission

I choose this college because I had to do graduation in foreign language i.e persian and that too from a recognised university like the delhi university and hence I opted for zakir hussain college as this was the only college in the entire delhi university to provide the course BA hons persian

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio in ba hons persian is 1:20 and rest of the courses it's more say 1:40 but the Student faculty is relationship is good every student is being look after .The faculty in my college which is liked the most is ba hons history faculty as they have their own society namely udanta which hosts many programs , the society which I don't like is the urdu faculty that's because though they have made a society but they are not involved in any sort of program hosting. Lastly there are 2 semester exams held in a year which is somewhat moderate and most of the questions are from previous year papers and if a student fails to clear the 1st semester paper he/she will get a chance to clear his back paper in the coming odd semester and so is for the even semester.

Night Life

2

The area around college is not that good as there are only few hangout places but if u see nearby then at a range of 6 km from our college u will reach the most famous cannought place of Delhi where u can hangout with ur friends and enjoy as everything is available there from food to fun

Course Curriculum Overview:

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

The curriculum is very broad and relevant, it covers both theory and practical aspects of the subject. It is very nice to prepare for further higher studies, though more real-world cast studies and interactive teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.
