Course Curriculum Overview

3

My honest opinion about taking mathematics and computing was that I wanted real exposure to computer programming and core mathematics which builds up programming structure. The curriculum is quite relevant because from the first sem itself we are studying the basics of machine learning maths ie. matrix theory

Internships Opportunities

4

Multiple companies offer internships in our college including Google amazon Microsoft Flipkart MMT etc stipend can range from 40k-60k per month, especially for these companies these companies can also offer PPO if they are impressed by your work

Placement Experience

4

for 4 years of course people are eligible for internships from 6th sem. my specific course that is a 5-year course, people are eligible from 8th sem. 70+ companies visited highest for this year till now in my branch is 50 lpa average is 10 lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee is the same for all, I don't know about sc/st and obc . but for Gen and ews it is the same . total of 10 semesters here is the term-wise fee breakdown:- 177500,87500,96000,96000,105500,105500,116000,116000,127500,127500 note:- it includes academics, hostel transportation and electricity charges mess charges are additional, ranging from 20-30k a semester and adjusted accordingly every semester. the scholarship is available if you get the best grades in your class in which your total fees are waived off - GP Birla scholarship

Campus Life

4

the name of the anual fest is bitostav , it usually happens in the month of march the name if technical fest is pantheon which was good that happened in the month of October there are wide range of books available in the library . but I feel the conditions of books are not that well maintained classes are equipped with projectors and computer making it a smart class and conditions of classes are good the sports facilities are extremely good

Hostel Facilities

4

the facilities in the room are that we get a Wi-Fi connection, speed is good 100mbs, special staffs maintain geyser in the bathroom and cleanliness The meal is good and hygienic menu can be decided by the students themselves

Admission

My best option was Bit Mesra that's why I came here. other colleges included iits which I unfortunately could not clear. the admission process in bit mesra undergrad courses is only through jee. Another quota is the overseas Indian quota

Faculty

4

The faculty-student ratio is around 70 students in 1 class. professors are quite approachable, they will solve your doubts very well although few are quite unapproachable As far as I can say Professor Randir Singh is among the best professors, he explains lengthy topics straightforwardly and I feel students learn from questions more and he does the same. he takes the basic question and complicates the question for a deeper understanding there are around 2 quizzes, a mid sem and an end sem , with relative grading for all subjects

Interview Experience

5

no there was not any Group discussion. all the admission process was through josaa and csab there is no other process for admission simply you have to study hard for jee, crack the jee mains exam and come to bit

Night Life

3

There is no official nightlife on our campus, especially for females - they have to be in their hostel by 9 pm for males, college is a little lenient we have to be in our hostel by 10 but it is not that strict we can be out the whole night we do have a gym and for females, they have a separate gym in their hostel itself few hangout places can be a riverside view, rocketry department and some cafes

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually biotechnology is an interdisciplinary program where we have to learn mostly the practical skills but there is no such equipment for doing a decent type of research work as they are not in a working condition. So first it has to be corrected and new equipment should have to buy for a making a good laboratory.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement in our college is held after the completion of all 6 semesters and there is very limited number of companies that come over to offer placement but off campus placements starts from 6 semester onwards. The companies visited were Vedanta for graduate trainee offering 1.40 - 4.65 LPA Tata Power for graduate trainee offering 1.90 - 3.69 LPA Only 40% students got placements. Many students didn't take part as the packages very low & even the perks were not so good. I planned to do higher studies in M.Sc. As the subject was very intriguing I preferred pursuing more knowledge.

As the session started late so we have less time to complete the syllabus but it will be fixed after one semester. Teachers don't go very fast in order to complete the syllabus they focus on that the students are understanding the lectures delivered. The frequency of exam is ok 2 in one semester. Difficulty of exam is moderate to hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am chosen this course because mathematics is my strongest subject from all of the others that's why I can choose mathematics. Faculty member of our college is very supportive but some of the teachers are very rude behaviour. Our college teachers are very disciplined about teaching and any project work. My class have 250 students. Every semester our college takes mid sem exam then a viva exam, assignment on every paper, group discussion, surprise test. The exam pattern was based on their classes. The exam pattern is moderate most times.
