Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course has been provided to me, though I don't have much interest in it and neither do I attend class regularly but it is a genuinely very nice course if you study properly and attend classes regularly. I feel good about the course when I study during exams time.

Fees and Financial Aid

So it's like there are no hidden charges or fees for anything in our college. My first year fees was 12000 something I donee remember it exactly and now it has been increased to 13750 in second year but it could also vary on the subjects or course you're pursuing. Also some of the additional fees that they charge throughout the year is examination fees (that varies on the subjects you choose for) and minen was 1150 this year. So overall our college is very low in budget and provides a mediocre college life.

Campus Life

3

The campus is fine only, the infrastructure is not good, like the walls are in the worst state, the hygiene factor is declined even in the canteen. overall infrastructure is pretty fucked up. Socially it's a good place as everyone here is interesting and interactive and here are so many different societies or clubs you can join as per your preference like dance, singing, environment, science and so many more.

Admission

See, for applying in any colleges of delhi university you have to appear for a enterance exam called CUET (Central University Enterance Test) in which. the colleges are alloted on several basis like your score in the enterance test, your grades in the class 12th and many more. I've been allotted my college on the basis of my marks that was 710/800. I know I could have been into much better college but I made the mistake while filling the prefrence list so please take care of that while filling the form to proceed with better colleges and your preferences. The only comparison I'll do is that our college area is not like some student area or something so it doesn't enhance our college experience as it is in off campus but like everything else is fine because all colleges of DU are almost same like the crowd, the management and everything are same only. But the infrastructure could've been better as it is in the north campus colleges of DU.

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college, especially of my course are genuinely good. They're really kind and helpful and they also try to make their bonds with students like most of them are genuinely nice. The exam pattern is basically we have to fill our examination form from the Slc.uod.in (site of delhi university) for the subjects we've chosen in our college. There are two semester exams. One takes place in december -january and the other one in may-june. The exam of core papers comes of 90 marks in which the passing marks are 40. and if you have to get promote in the next year than you must pass atleast 8 exams out of 14 (yearly) and in each sem 4 out of 7.

Night Life

1

There is no night life around our college as our college is dismissed by 4pm and evening shift comes later on and get dismissed by 8pm. But the college area of ours is not safe at all. Especially for the girls as it's located near new delhi metro station and delhi gate so you can already know what type of area it would be. There's only one maggi point behind our college and nothing else to go to.

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
