What Students Say
Likes
- Societies of this college are awesome. Ka-ching the commerce society and Hasratein the Drama club are extremely engaging, they are very active. The Placement Cell and Enactus are also very active and you could see their instagram for reference.
- A good girls to boys ratio, in my class of 106 atleast 30-40 are girls.
Dislikes
- Campus is very small as compared to other colleges, but will be fixed once we get a building back from Aryabhatta College.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of Business Law is very relevant as per my knowledge. The Theory part of financial accounting is a little bit outdated but the practical part as far as I know including Tally prime is really good and comprehensive. The area for improvement has to be the General elective subjects.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid a total of 21,470 rupees as my initial year fees which included all the other formalities as well. I belong to the general category so availed no reservation benefits. My course fee is around 19k and increases every year as it's a trend in the University of Delhi.
Campus Life
The College has a really good library where all the books are provided. The student leaders try their best to represent the student ideas and needs. Societies like Ka-ching, Hasratein and Awaaz are extremely active and help improve you altruistically. Sports in the college isn't too well as it shares its campus with Aryabhatta. The annual fests are decent and are held in late winters
Admission
I scored 710 in my Cuet exam. I opted for RLA because if I had updated I would've gotten into Motilal Nehru College and I've heard that the atmosphere there is really unsafe. It's a very political place which I wanted to stay away from. I'm satisfied with RLA because of the good faculties and extremely active societies. From my one month of observation I can say I've atleast gotten into a college I won't regret joining.
Faculty
Faculty members of the college are decent. They are extremely well when they are teaching and leave no stones unturned. My personal favourite yet is Supriya ma'am because of how she builds a personal connection with every student. I'm not very much familiar with the exam structure yet since I haven't appeared for any.
Night Life
Favourite hangout spot has to be Satya Niketan and the College canteen(including Aryabhatta). College Library is usually open till late around 8PM. The locality is safe to roam around at night and Satya Niketan is the place where most students live and it also has many PGs, Gyms and cafes as well. Most students rent out flats in Satya Niketan. People also tend to rent flats in Anand Niketan but it's very costly compared to satya. People also sometimes buy flats in Basant Gaon but it's not the cleanest locality and it's said that you find a lot of people getting intoxicated there, parents don't find it a good impression on their children.
