Likes

The campus in on the nh-12 so transport is very easy.
As these is a technical university you can grow a techie mentality.
There is a library which contains so many books.

Dislikes

The university is in a ground so food availability is not so good.
The nearby station is almost 12 km far so who will coming by train is a problem.
Language is a problem because there are many students who are not from West Bengal

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the computer science course because it will be the future of the world. The curriculum is made for industrial job preparation and also gate exam. Best method for improvement will be online mode as this is a computer based course. The exam timing is good there is a 4 months gap between the semester

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 232000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees structure for btech is 240000 which includes Tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and the other compulsory charges. This contains caution money of 8000.if any student comes from twf category their fees for 4 years 20500. You can get svmcm scholarship if you are a student from West Bengal .

Campus Life

There was many tech fest and a cultural fest every year named anweshan. There are many clubs like quiz club, coding club , chess club etc. The library of the college is enough large it contains all the book for this course require and also other books of various interest.

Admission

I Choose the college because this is govt college with best facilities I got shreerampore engineering college but the present college infrastructure is better. The admission process of my college is you have to give wbjee exam.

Faculty

The faculty student ratio is good almost 10:1 . The faculty are very friendly and they are so much knowledgable. There is know good or bad faculty in the college and dept. There are one end sem exam in every sem and 4 ca and 2 pca .

Night Life

You can enjoy a better college campus life. You can hangout in near by cafes or in kalyani. Campus timing is from 10 am to 10 pm and hostel time is 10 am to 8 pm. On night you gan chill nearby areas which a safe for girls also

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190
