Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was same like other colleges of branch computer science and engineering. I rate around 4 out of 5. About comprehensiveness I rate 3 out of 5. I choose the course because craze was towards the new technological advancements in recent times Curriculum prepares well in solving real world problems
Internships Opportunities
Summer internship, winter internship is there where most of the students went to higher institutions like IITs and NITs for internships. I personally went to IIT Delhi where I stayed for more than 2 months, during the internship I learnt many things.
Placement Experience
With collaboration along with department of Business administration, Assam University Silchar the Department of CSE, ECE takes part in placement. In Placement various reputed company including Jio, Axis Bank, Bandhan Bank, Mahindra, Capgemini, Byjus, Akash Edu takes part in the placement process.
Fees and Financial Aid
When I got admission in the year 2013, the yearly fees I paid was around Rs 60,000 excluding the hostel fees and bus fare. I belong to the reserve quota I got scholarship from sc/st board worth Rs. 12000.
Campus Life
The overall experience was good at campus like during evening time roaming around university campus gave us some refreshing air also there was one market just 1 km far from University. Where most of the student go there for adda, hustle and purchase necessary stuffs
Admission
I got chance over JEE MAINS, my first preference was NIT, Silchar but don't get the seat in NIT, Silchar because of cut off issue. The reason of selecting Assam University, Silchar is because the college is native to me. I rejected from NIT, silchar because cut off was higher in NIT, Silchar
Faculty
Few Faculty Member from Department of CSE, were supportive and on several times gave carrier guidance. Course Structure : During First year all Engineering Department viz. CSE, ECE and Agricultural Engineering department have Common Subjects. From 2nd year onwards CSE Students got subjects like Data Structure through C, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, System Software, Graphic design, Microprocessor and Microcontroller, operating System and also Lab classes. The faculty I don't like was Arnab Paul because of his rude behaviour and tries to demotivate and demoralising attitude.
Night Life
During the time of winter night life was bit scary as because of my hostel was on hilly areas and fox sound gave some horror experience. Apart from that, there was on point where most of the students gathered and play chess on night time
