Eligibility Criteria
Students looking forward to applying in B.Tech should meet the following criteria
- Admission on the basis of JEE ranking and Central Counselling only and students have to obtain at least 75% (65% for SC/ST) marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
- Admission on the basis of institute level entrance test followed by counseling only and students have to obtain 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate papers of Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics and 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) and Pass marks in mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level.

- The only thing I liked about the uni is that it has a lot of vacations to offer. Specifically if you're in Btech.
- The library is good. It has a lot of books. If you're interested in studies then you can opt for study in library
Dislikes
- No hostels for freshers, sometimes not for 2nd year too. You must have a network to get hostel in 2nd year and in first year you've to forget about hostel life and have to live in and as a paying guest or in rent.
- If you get hostel, there are lots of chances that you would've to share your room with others
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is outdated. I don't think ny college have something to do with it cuz even IITs have outdated curriculum now a days may be that's why some of thier students are not getting placed. But the student have to be a good learner and again if you wanna do something you can do it from anywhere.

- The way to marking in exam,it's not good no one wants here to improve cgpa if u pass the subject

Course Curriculum Overview:
My friends and I all choose this subject because one of us wants to. Here's curriculum will not prepare you for your future in the course field. but it will teach you how to deal with administration. Teachers should focus on the improvement of the CGPA of their students and the administration should be strict and maintain the pace of the course, similar to all other universities and colleges. Exams have no timing no date, they just conduct it whenever they want. And the difficulty level is intermediate.

- The campus is surrounded by greenery and nature.
- The library is quite nice and has a wide variety of books to read.
Dislikes
- The food provided in the canteen has the same usual menu.
- The university is located near Irongmara and is in the outskirts of the city. So, there’s no facility for good food, shopping etc.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The subjects that the department offers are core ones that are really important to prepare students to face real-world problems. The infrastructure of the CSE department should be developed more which would increase comfort and quality of education. The question papers set by the faculty members are easy to medium level. The exam schedules are highly flexible and unpredictable which is a very big issue and should be addressed by the authority. The supplementary papers should take place in time considering the student's career. The lagging of degrees due to postponement of exams is a major problem and should be addressed.

- Campus is very beautiful. It's fully residential campus and environment is very good for studying

- Lab attendends are mostly contractual and gets changed frequently
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is very good.Projects are done on recent developments on Computer Science and AI.Faculties are well qualified to teach and guide the same.All the standard technological facilities are available.
Likes
- The first thing is that there is a free wifi portal for all the registered students of Assam University so that the data limit cannot hamper
- Secondly the huge library provides number of variations of books so that students can go through whichever they want.
Dislikes
- Sometimes there is more domination of the seniors ( may vary from batch to batch).
- Student welfare Dean should be active regarding the issues of the students and that should be neutral without partiality.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am interested in programming and cyber security so to maintain this niche this stream is much beneficial. The curriculum is present a bit I repeat, a little bit different from the real world as the is a little lack of applied feild hope soon it will be renewed. This is a applied feild so I think there should be more practical knowledge than the theoretical ones and the things that we learn on later sessions should preponed earlier so that more material we can gather and apply.

- I like the campus environment, it has so much peace and you can visit at whatever time you wanted
- Bus facility of Assam University is very good it is free of cost for the students and you can take any buses for your work.
Dislikes
- Hostel facility is not for everyone it is lacking in hostel for boys
- Campus has so much wild animals whom they say natural but there are so many piosinious snakes
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is as simple like all other colleges . I choose electronics and communication engineering because there is many opportunities or option in this field ,job opportunities , government job opportunities,and many and this branch also have a link between electronics Devices and some software opportunities. Our faculty members are too good .in our college every subject has one and two faculty members and faculty and students ratio is a huge numbers . Qualification of our faculty members is well knowledgeable qualification is not accurate known to me but our faculty is form very prestigious and well known college like nit silchar,nit Agartala, IIT Bombay etc Exam timing is good . We have two exam first is internal which is held after 1 month of starting our course .and second exam is end semester which is held after completion our syllabus . To pass the exam is not too much difficult if you are a regular student and study well you will passed the examination.

- College Gate :- Our college has a amazing looking gate .
- Bus Service:- as I discussed earlier our college campus is very large , we need a transport service which is provided by our college in regular time interval .
Dislikes
- Hostel facility:- there is no any types of hostel facility because we are not in hostels
- Placement cell :- our college doesn't exist any placement cell

For choosing Computer science and engineering there is a reason because this branch has many opportunities in future times and this branch gives an artificial intelligence which runs the younger and future generation . Our faculty members Is good there is every subject has one and two faculty members. Faculty and student ratio is very large . Qualification of faculty is not knowing soo much but many of our faculty are from well known college eg Nit silchar ,IIT Bombay ,etc teaching method of faculty is good . Exam timing is good there is two types of exam is held internal and and semester. It is not too much difficult to pass if you study well then you will confidently passed the examination

- Fee of university is nominal just under 5 lac you complete your 4 year btech degree from top gfti.
- Bus facility is provided by university is so like by me . At every after 30 minutes you can use bus service and visite campus,go to hostel,go to pg etc
Dislikes
- Average package and highest package are not so good.
- Change in food in silchar region rice is three time eaten by local people . You are vegetarian then you face a lot of problem

I have interest in computer so I chhose cse branch in btech. Assam university silchar is central university (gfti) . In first year no regular class held my university professor but after first year a regular class held by professor.most of the students in my class come from spot admission ,spot admission is admission procedure which is held after csab counseling for some university. My university firstly held internal exam and after internal held end semester exam.internal exam is held not so strictly but end semester exam held very strictly.

- I like Bus service of Assam University. Approximately 20 buses are always running in campus and also many goes another district.
- Campus is very good you will fill likes you go to tour for any forests

In got admission in computer science and engineering in Assam University because fees of Assam University is not much expansive as compared to private universities and also the facilities of Assam University is very good. In my batch there are 75 students and every students much talented. There are three engineering branch in our university. They are CSE, ECE and agricultural faculty of Assam University is very good. He teaches like our children. The faculty and students ratio is 1ratio 10. Every teachers have done PhD in our field and teachers are teach very nicely. Course is for 4 years and I semester. Every subject is 100 marks . Two exam is conduct for each semester one is internal which is 30 marks and second is end term exam.

- Things I liked our university campus is full of nature you find here many natural beauty greeny campus
- It's really gives us a composer to express our talent and participate in several event seminar which held every month
Dislikes
- Main concern is placement but if you prepared well though yourself then you can easily achieve your dreams company job it's on you
- Hostel is also a concern because we don't get hostel in very first years
Course Curriculum Overview:
Since Assam University is one of the top leading Universities in Assam and after IIT Guwahati, and NIT Silchar you Can choose Assam University for Good campus life and decent Placement rate. Faculty are good as well as some are not good because few are only provided theoretical things not provided practical very much. Faculty are well qualified most of them are MTech and Ph.D. from IIT NIT and top universities. From 2023 exam is only a two-time Internal exam and End sem exam. 30+70 total 100 marks in a semester. Some subjects are a little tough to pass but most of the subjects you can pass easily with decent work.
