- Campus size is very small as compared to other private institutions
- The canteen does not have much healthy options to eat especially for lunch
- The placement is not so good but decent for freshers in kolkata market
Course Curriculum Overview
The Electrical Engineering department is well equipped with modern and well-maintained labs, including specialized labs for Power Systems, Electrical Machines, and Control Systems. The equipment is also up to date.The Electrical course is a bit tough, but if the student makes some effort and combines all the theory and practical knowledge detinitely the curriculum makes them industry-ready semester exams are a little tough in our college, but if you listen to your lectures and do self-study, then you can easily pass with good grades.
Placement Experience
Around 75-80% of students from the Electrical Engineering course were placed last year. The highest package offered was approximately 8-10 LPA, and the lowest was around 3 LPA; however, the average package is decent at 4-5 LPA. Top companies are TCS, Accenture, Wipro, and Havells. Now, coming to internships, our college provides some decent ones. Around 40% of students secured internships, with companies like TCS, Wipro, and Havells offering roles. The main roles were mostly core engineering, IT services, and some technical support as well. The most common roles offered to EE students include Graduate Engineer Trainee, Project Engineer, and Technical Analyst. Some students also secure roles in IT services.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is affiliated to MAKAUT and the current college fees is RS 605000 for 4 years Btech course and the fees is same for all B.tech branches provided by the college and the fees is not increasing as per 2024 . The college does not have its own scholarship or discount but it provides eligibility for Swami Vivekanda Scholarship (SVMCM) provided by the west bengal government .
Campus Life
: The Electrical Engineering department is equipped with modern and well-maintained labs, including specialized labs for Power Systems, Electrical Mach and Control Systems. The equipment is also up to da There is Wi-Fi in the college. The classrooms are not all air-conditioned. There is a library where you can get all the books for your syllabus. Our college doesn't have its own hostel, so students mostly stay in nearby PGs. There are a lot of sports and games conducted in our college.
Admission
I applied for many colleges before this college but because of my low rank in WBJEE this one was the college I choose . This college provides exposure compare to IEM and Netaji subhas engineering college and haldia institute of technology. I wanted to go for heritage institute of technology but it required better marks or else wanted for good rank in WBJEE. The electrical engineering cutoff of my college in WBJEE in round 1 was 36000 in 2024
Faculty
The faculty for EE are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They will clear all your doubts. Although you will find some of them a bit boring when it comes to teaching, these are only a few of them. Night Life
There are canteen present in the college campus but it have only packaged food and not any heavy meal to lunch. The campus timings are according to the class schedule and ig you want you can leave early from the college in case of emergency
