Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is made us industry ready but this is not problem of only our college. This is problem of education system that how they design the course . But whatever is course curriculum professor always try to explain by their full potential.
Internships Opportunities
Interesting to know that in my college company like google , Microsoft, Wipro come to hire student and also provides internship to students. Many of my senior got PPO in Microsoft and Accenture and many students got good stipend.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year our college students is eligible for placement and even they got very good internship option . almost 80 percent of student are placed in my college. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees I should paid in one year is 104000 if there is no tuition fee weiver . College provide tuition fee weiver on the basis of income certificate of family . We will get 100 percent tuition fee weiver if family income is less than 1 lakh . We will get 2/3 tuition fee weiver if family income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh . No tuition fee weiver if family income is more than 5 lakh . Hostel fees is 51 thousand for one year and tuition fee is 42 thousand.
Campus Life
Rebecca is annual fest of our college which held in March . Apart from these many technical fest also occur in our college. There is projector in every class and most of the professor use them . Almost every type of clubs present on our college like DEBSOC for debate , REFLEXOBETA for dance , EUPHONY for music and many more .
Hostel Facilities
As of my knowledge thier is almost 20+ hostel in our college. Hostel are good but walls are old and at many places many of walls are broken . Thier is 2 washing machine at every floor in our hostel . PG also available just outside of college.
Admission
My college is very old as it made in 1856 . It is India second oldest engeneering collegeehich provide wider alumni network than other colleges. Faculty to students ratio is very good in our college as compared to other NIT'S. Admission in our college is on the basis of JEE MAINS rank . Apart from this college , I got one more college that is NIT Hamirpur but that is very far and difficult to reach thier even by train .
Faculty
Faculty to students ration in our college is 1:9 which is very good . There are two exam in one semester. One is mid semester of 30 marks and other is end semester exam of 50 marks . 20 marks given by professors as internal marks . Course curriculum is very good and professor are very helpful for all students.
Night Life
Their is gym , cafeteria , and library which is open till midnight 12 am . Hostel timings for first year students are 8 pm but after 1st year timing is 11 pm . Famous hangout place is Victoria memorial, Alipore Zoo , Indian museum, park street and many more
