Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum prepares we for real world applications or further academic purpose very well The areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods are....we have practical classes and we were the zoology students so we go the river side.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees approx 7000rs Yes I got scholarship ( minority scholarship) Tution fees were 2000rs caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees are approximately ten thousand rupees.

Campus Life

The annual and technical festival, .. along with the months are held...such as social, freshers, farewell, basanta utsav etc ...yes the range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library

Admission

I applied many college but I choose this college because of a very good college from all side ...no I have no rejection from other colleges...I choose this college from my interest. The admission process of our college is cut off system

Faculty

The faculty of students ratio is very proportional...I like all the facilities in our college....I didn't dislike anything about the college....there are semester system....in our 3 year course we have 6 semester.

Night Life

No there are no gym but we have college cafeteria and college canteen...and a big library and public areas,we have college hostel and campus on timings And it's located in very safe place...we all all faculties

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

We have a placement cell helping students get placed. They keep posting opportunities like internships and fellowships throughout the year to groom students and give them exposure and experience. Placements can go to very high packages like those in Data Science, Big 4 consulting or core finance or banking jobs. CAs, CFAs and FRMs do well in the placements.
