Course Curriculum Overview

4

First year subjects seems to be 70% relevent to our course which increases in the further years. As we have to apply our knowledge in real life -like questions, the course seems to prepare us for the real world.First year course could be made more good by increasing lab sessions for DLD and removing chemistry, IKS, mechanics.Every branch has average 5-7 hours of college everyday which is ok for now.I chose IT as it is very similar to Computer Engineering course here.

Placement Experience

5

Mostly all students are applicable for internships and ppo's in 4th year of the course after passing their CGPA criteria. Many companies like Google ,Microsoft, Oracle, JP Morgan ,Texas Instruments,TCS etc have visited. The details of placement can be found on the vjti website.Percent of students getting placed is greater than 80% and rest of them go for higher studies or other exams such as govt exams etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

First year fees-85551 First year fees i paid -78051 (7500 excused for SEBC category from tuition fees Development fees-39850 Insurance-701 Other fees-26000 Tuition fee-15000(7500 for SEBC) Exam and other fees-1500 SDCM-2000 Alumni Association Life Membership Fees-500 Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj scholarship which provides 50% waiver on tuition fees is applicable in this college, and various other scholarships such as Siemens,Reliance,HDFC,Aditya Birla etc.

Campus Life

5

Fests from various College comittees such Pratibimb-For aesthetic events,Rangavardhan- For the OG Marathi culture,DLA -For Debates and arts, Technovanza -For tech savy students ,Enthusia- For sports students are held in Dec and Jan.Every student and outsiders are welcomed at the fests and events.most of the classrooms are equipped with projectors. There are 2 big grounds ,one for football and one for cricket besides the college building and a basketball court and two table tennis tables in the college campus.

Hostel Facilities

4

Every room is equipped with fans, lights, charging points and beds. hostel application must be filled by students while admission process ,Admission to hostel rooms is given on the basis of reservation and merit per branch.

Admission

I chose this college for a better crowd and average salary package in placements.VJTI is better academically ,exposure wise on difeerent topics and domains, and also the senior - junior interaction.I got selected in IISER Pune also and it was a pretty nice option as a first year student, but i would need to study for atleast 7 years before i start making money thats why i chose VJTI over IISER Pune,No doubt that IISER Pune is better than VJTI in research areas. For VJTI The 12th equivalent exams for NRI ,Gulf quota, J&K etc are considered for merit list among the few seats and the rest seats are given according to rules and reservation decided by MHT-CET CELL.

Faculty

4

the faculty is friendly and the averga student to teacher relationship is good. You can ask doubts to profs in your free time or in class also.Sambhe Sir, Sagar Lachure sir, Gaurav Sawant sir are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable profs in their fields. There are many exams like class test, class quiz, Mid sem test(MST), End Sem Exam(ESE), and all of them have some percentage in marks. Mechanics, Engineering Graphics and Applied Mathematics 1 are some of the subjects that the students from First year fail in although the failing ratio in VJTI is negligible.

Night Life

5

The max in time for all students from outside college is 10:30pm .Max in-time for girls in hostel is 10:30 pm.And there is no restriction for boys to come in hostel(Meaning they can stay in campus all day long).Institue time is from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.Good places to visit are Textile garden,Krantijyoti savitrbai Phule Auditorium,Veermata Jijabai statue.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
