Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is on the tougher side,as being the sister branch of electronics and communication, the course can be felt tough for someone not completely intrested in Electronics The frequency and timing of exams are actually well timed, after the course commens, our first internals happen almost after 7 weeks, the second internals happen 5 week after first, while assignment in between, and we get about 2 week for final exam preparation.

Placement Experience

3

Placement starts at the end of 3rd year, generally all the companies related to IT field complete their placements in the month of August at the starting of 4th year while the placement for core companies for branches such as mechanical Electrical and electronic happens throughout the year specially in January and February. The placement percentage is around 50 to 70% do the real number is not revealed by the placement cells The highest package this year is 52 lakhs from an instrumentation student of campus in Microsoft The average package varies across different branches depending upon if it is it related or core, though the average packages around 8 to 9 lakh to 11 to 12 lakhs Big companies like 99acres Capgemini cognizant Philips ge healthcare Microsoft Mercedes JP Morgan Accenture Apple visits the campus or have visited the campus in the past years.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total college fee for the first year in 2023 was 2 lakh 94 thousand indian rupee Our or which approx 230000 was tution fee, 20k for the admission fee 32000 for skill lab fee, this skill lab is an intra college internship that the college conducts at the end of first year, and this is a mandatory course we have to choose Remaining are miscellaneous fee

Campus Life

4

There are many clubs both curricular extra curricular and co curricular, do many clubs are inactive throughout the year due to lack of funds or motive and intention, most of the clubs are student run with moderate to less involvement of the concerned authorities or facilities There are only two fest associated with our college, KR fest and ubhdav

Hostel Facilities

5

There are four boys hostel provided by the college as well as several other PGS and hostel under the gokula trust for both girls and boys Out of 4 hostels first one is freshers block that are located only to freshers on the basis of first come first serve and costs around 1 lakh Other three hostel includes Aryabhatta PG hostels and Ratan Tata block, the student who missed fresher block allotment can get in Aryabhatta or PG block or Ratan Tata block if rooms are available Aryabhatta room costs from 72000 to 100000 depending upon the occupancy as well as floor as each floor has different sizeed rooms. Similarity PG hostels also cost around 1 lakh depending upon different facilities. The return data block is the premium hostel where double sharing room cost 120000 and single sharing room cost 160000 but the rooms are actually very huge and the building is recently renovated. All the four hostels have a common mess in the Aryabhatta block. The food is prepared hygienically but the menu has not been changed since years making it very monotonous to eat. There are several North Indian as well as South Indian food spots around the campus in Mathikere for outside snacks as well as meals. All other hostels and PGS across mathigiri cost almost 102000 depending upon the facilities as well as distance from the college.

Admission

I filled the comedk form, apart from JEE,as I wanted to get a college in Bengaluru as it is IT capital of India, with great industry exposure I failed JEE (87 percentile) as I was week in maths, due to which I had option to either take comedk college or a drop,i choose comedk councelling,as I was pretty confident I would get a good college My priority order was RVCE MSRIT BMS Banglore Institute of Technology Dayananda sagar College of engineering My list was completely based on the placements and industry exposure. campus life, fests were not very much of priority to me, that's why I was extremely happy getting MSRIT, Our college take addmission through 3 ways, Comedk, approx 30% KCET, reserved for karnataka students, almost 50% And the rest are for management quota/ NRI and JnK + northeast reserved students The addmission process is very simple,as you lock in ur comedk or KCET seat,u will be given the dates on which u can come and complete the addmission,The guards and authorities will guide u throughout the process and help u complete the process seamlessly.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to-student ratio: Our branch has farely ballenced ratio, with approx 72 students in each year, there are almost 15 faculty, and they are very approachable, the faculty to student relationship is very good, haven't heard any student complaint about any faculty. In our college, there are two internal exams(CIE,30 marks each) average is taken of both,20 marks internal assessments ,and 100 marks final exam which is further reduced out of 50 In terms of failing,I guess almost 10-20% do fail, but they pass in the supplimentary exams, Year backs are rare, only 1 or maybe 2 do fail in a particular subject thought. The courses are farely relevant,as companies do take placements in core subjects.

Night Life

3

There is not much of campus life that the college has to offer, being in Bengaluru student of fun find various ways and chill out spots across the city not restricted within the campus Almost all the boys hostel has an in timing of 10:30 p.m. and the girls hostel of 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. There is a pre included gym in the college as well as various other paid gym across Mathikere. There are many libraries within the college open till 9:30 pm. Library includes department library with department books as well as common libraries across every blocks. The locality is safe as per my knowledge as there are many local family is living around too, the streets are fairly busy till 11 p.m. and well lit roads all night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has the necessary subjects of the branch...It is constantly updated every year to adhere to relevancy and comphrehensiveness of the course..My department of AIML teaches us the necessary computer subjects such as Nature Inspired computing, Deep learning etc and also the Maths and Stats whch is required for machine learning is though too ( Like Maths for machine learn and statistical modellign, inferential statistics, time series analysis etc)..These subjects also have lab components which help us prepare for real-world applications. But some of the older subjects on the other hand which might be core computer science or in first year..common subjects like CAED and others are not required and outdated. The frequency and timings of exams is moderate..neither good nor bad

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose electronics and communications wholeheartedly. Since my childhood, I was very interested in electronics and very humble in learning new topics in digital electronics. I was never a coding guy, so I took electronics and communications as my course. It was an easy choice for me. So class's average strength is around 65 to 70. And the faculty: student ratio is quite good. The teachers are well qualified and most of them are doctorate holders. The timetable is arranged in a manner such that there is smooth conduction of classes for all-year students. The exams are semester wise and there will be internals every month. Questions are better, you have to know little bit contents taught in classes and also from textbooks. It is easy to pass.
