What Students Say

Likes

I like the campus of my college it's very spacious.
It has a lake at the centre which gives a aesthetic view.
College has more over every kind of sport so you can play anything like volleyball, basketball, football, cricket etc

Dislikes

The only thing I dislike is the hostel fees of our college.It is comparatively higher than pg's outside the college

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is same as the other colleges under MAKAUT but the some additional extra Curriculum class like extra Coding sessions to prepare us for placement are great.And our Computer Science Engineering department Teachers are also very great.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 108000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I am currently in 1st year so I haven't applied for any internship but from 2nd year will apply for Internships and their are special internship and placement cell for guiding us for on campus and off campus internships

Placement Experience

The Placements in our college is moreover good.The placement percentage of the previous season was above 80% and The average package is also around 6 lakhs per annum so it offers a decent Return on Investment compared to other private colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college charges a per semester fees of 52,000 rs and at the time of admission you have to pay 105000 rs approx including the First semester fees.And 105000 fees also covers the caution money and development fees, library fees etc.

Campus Life

The campus life is great in our college and the other social aspects, club environment is very lively here. There are many clubs like Photography club ,Nature Club, Gaming Club ,Drama club etc. They also host some competitions with a decent prize pool.

Admission

The Fees of this college is comparatively less than the other private colleges in West Bengal.E.g Institute of Engineering and Management, University of Engineering and Management, Heritage, NSEC etc colleges charge almost 7 lakh for 4 years B tech course but here the 4 years course fees is around 4,50,000 rs

Faculty

There are very good faculty in our college most of them are IITians and Jadavpur passouts. Exam pattern are same as every colleges under MAKAUT but our college is very strict about internal exams so you have to study hard for them.

Night Life

I stay in a pg near the College. It's not like big cities like Kolkata or Delhi so people sleep early till 9.30 pm Shops are open.And hostels and pg's have restrictions regarding going out at night. In hostel you can't go out after 7.30 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190
