Remarks

Infrastructure is not so good. better part of the college is that it is rich in diversity and the fees of college is very less. Anyone can afford it. It got very less funding from the government but still it maintains a good ranking at all india level.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think it should be updated. because in most of the engineering college taught very old syllabus. Exam is conducted by our jadavpur university. There are two mid sem and a final sem in one semester, adding up all the marks we got our GPA

Placement Experience

Placement scenario is good. Average package of my dept. Is approx 6-6.5 lpa And i think which is good. Yes of course our college provide internship. Actually I'm second year student so this summer hopefully I got internship. So can't tell about stipend but from seniors they have got 30k -50k for 30 days.

College Events

There are many events happening in our college.I was the convenor of one of the sports event. There are tech fest, cultural fest, departmental fest, reunion and many other workshops and events happening in our college. Students from different colleges came and took part in our events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very less. 5000 for two years. I don't have 200words to describe. I think this is enough for you. In Admission process, you have to give only 700 for registration. I think fees can be affordable by all types of people

Fees and Financial Aid

FFE is one of them. It provides scholarship to the poor students and many department have their own Alumni network. So they got scholarship from their. Also DYW is offering scholarship for students for foreign tour.

Campus Life

Ya labs are very good. They are completely equipped. Every department have their own laboratories. Even we have 10 different labs in our chemical engineering department. We have 22 different clubs (like photography club, music club, mountaineering club drama club, science club, etc)for extracurricular activities but they are having lack of funds.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful. They gives us sponsorship for our event. Also jadavpur have a very big Alumni network. They help in placement scenario also. We have our own reunion event. And we are still connected to our 50years back Alumni

Admission

Through entrance exam conducted by west bengal government and then through the online counselling we have to fill our choices according to the ranking we have got. After that we have to submit the papers to the college.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is good. Mostly are ph.d and professors. They work hard for us. Very few of them are lazy kind of. In jadavpur university maximum faculties are Bengali. So sometimes there is a communication gap between teacher and other state students.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
