Review of Pondicherry Central University

Our college has a good ambiance. 800 acres of land is full of trees. For integrated Computer Science students, i have to say that it's not your place. Because same thing was used to tell by my seniors.

I think here we have a good syllabus compared to other universities. Since this is a Central University , Interals' and Externals' question papers are set by our own teachers. And they only value the papers. And publish result at the earliest.

I am not sure about the placements and job opportunities in this University for Computer Science students. We are getting stipend for first second and third rank holders in Semester Exam for respective subjects.

We celebrate all the festivals of every states together. Pongal, Onam ,Ugadi , etc. We also conduct Football and Cricket tournaments. We have Vanicom by Commerce Students ,Akanksha , Silver Jubilee Fest and many more events.

For six months they charge 8000 rupees for Food and Accomodation. Also they charge Semester Fee which includes tuition fee and all for 2000 rupees. Also there's a feasible amount for the Examination.

I don't know if any loan facilities are available in our college. But they offer 10000 rupee , 7500 rupee and 5000 rupee for the first three rank holders of each department. Each department consists of 20 students.

Since many programmes are frequently comducted in our college, we have many opportunities to participate in all the events. Also good computer lab is provided. We have two big stadiums and many tournaments are conducted here.

We have separate hostels for men and women. Men have 8 hostels and 4 hostels for Phd scholars. Most of the hostels are good im infrastructure. They are cleaned frequently by cleaners. Good water purifiers, Wifi are also provided.

Seniors are the one who helped us in our admission time. Since the university is 800 acres and we don't know the places to go, they helped us so much. For Computer Science, i don't think it'll be a better university to study. Bt all other departments are very good here. Even India's second best dept of Chemistry is here.

I got selected for the entrance exam conducted by Pondicherry University. I was in the waiting list. I went to the University on given date. Luckily CS quota was not over ie; 20 students. I opted for CS and easily got admission.

Many good and experienced faculties are here to teach us. But for integrated MSc Computer Science, they give us PhD Scholars or Guest Faculties which is not up to the mark. Eventhough Computer Science dept have good faculties.
