Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum in the college is well-structured and covers the essential concepts required for the B.Des in Communication Design program. It combines both theoretical and practical learning, focusing on areas like typography, user experience, graphic design, and digital media. While the courses provide a strong foundation, there is room for incorporating more industry-relevant skills and up-to-date trends. The balance between academics and projects is good, though at times, certain modules could feel overwhelming due to their depth and workload. Overall, the curriculum prepares students with a broad understanding of the field but could benefit from a few updates
Internships Opportunities
The college offers internship opportunities as a part of the B.Des Communication Design program to help students gain practical experience. However, the support in finding internships is limited, and students are often encouraged to search for opportunities independently. While the internships provide valuable hands-on experience and the chance to build a professional portfolio, the process can be competitive and challenging without proper guidance. Establishing stronger industry connections and offering structured support would make these opportunities even more effective in preparing students for their future careers.
Placement Experience
The college's placement opportunities are somewhat limited, especially for students pursuing creative fields like Communication Design. While a few companies visit the campus for recruitment, the number of roles and the variety of industries are not very extensive. Many students find themselves relying on off-campus opportunities or internships to secure employment. The college does provide some support through placement cells, but the assistance could be more structured and proactive. Despite these limitations, the experience of participating in placement processes has helped students build confidence and prepare for professional opportunities
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee that they charge for my chosen course is 99400 per year they also charge a caution deposit of 3000. I think this fee structure is affordable compared to other colleges. The fee structure is relatively standard for the facilities that they provide. They also prove scholarships based on the 12th score they give a 50% reduction for the first semester and the scholarship will be extended based on the CGPA percentage
Campus Life
The college organizes only one major event each year, that is camera speaks, which, while enjoyable, feels insufficient for fostering a vibrant campus culture. This annual event includes a few cultural and academic activities, giving students a chance to showcase their talents and unwind. However, with just one event, there’s limited opportunity for continuous engagement or broader participation. While it’s a good start, adding more frequent and diverse programs throughout the year would significantly enhance the college experience and provide students with a better platform for creative and social interaction
Admission
I have applied for many other colleges such as world university of design, Delhi Chandigarh University,MIT Pune , dj academy coimbatore. I chose this college because of its reputation and it is in a more convenient location for me. The admission Process of this college is very simple and they doesn't conduct any exam . They conduct an interview and we need to submit our portfolio
Faculty
I'm not really satisfied with the faculty in my college . I think they really need to improve. The chances of having classes daily is very less. Additionally, the lack of personalized guidance and mentorship can make it challenging to develop a deeper understanding of the subject. I feel the faculty could improve by updating their methods and being more involved in students' growth.
Night Life
We didn't get enough nightlife in this college.Campus life is an important part of the college experience, offering a balance of academics, social interaction, and personal growth. The environment is lively, with opportunities to connect with peers, participate in group projects, and explore extracurricular interests. There are functional spaces for studying, collaborating, and relaxing, which contribute to a productive atmosphere. While the facilities and infrastructure could be improved, the overall environment promotes learning and skill development. The friendships and experiences gained here add value to both personal and professional development, making campus life a memorable journey.
